Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Another reason why it's a shitty thing to hound people about.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

It really, really is.

People have asked us why we "chose" to have one child and "isn't she lonely?" and "now she'll have to take care of both of you by herself".

Yeah - didn't choose it, people. Shut it.

Always Anti-fascist!

"When are you gonna die?" (/Jerry Seinfeld) The teacher my mom works with(but only for a little while longer) tried the only child thing on a woman whose only child is a thirty-year-old teacher. Like that woman can get back in her time machine and fix it, even if she thinks there's something to fix.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

And really - just don't ask . I have a friend with one child. He really has been an easy kid ( he's 17) and she loves him very much. But she is sure that if she had not had a child, she would not have regretted that decision.

And I love my brother...we get along better now, but most definitely he was not an antidote to childhood loneliness even when we were having fun and not wanting to smack each other.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I've been trying to catch up in this thread for the last two days because I need some advice but didn't want to just barge in and interrupt ongoing conversations and miss what is going on with people.

Now that I have, all I want to say is "holy shit, 2012" I'm so glad you are over and want to embrace all of you who are hurting! {{{{{{Buffistas}}}}}}}

My current dilemma is about Dental insurance vs Dental discount plans.

I haven't had a dental appointment since I moved to Iowa 5 years ago. I also broke a tooth a year ago and have been waiting to get it fixed. I signed up for a plan on the Healthcare.gov site, but when I got the details I learned that fixing the broken tooth would be wait-listed for a year

So, I haven't paid the premium and am looking for an alternative. Does anyone have any experience one way or another?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Does anyone have any motivation lying around? I need to work on my syllabus. I made tea and roasted almonds, and they're delicious but they aren't quite enough to make my work brain turn on.

I don't know much about dental discount plans, quester. AFAIK dental insurance tends to be kind of crappy but it's better than paying everything out of pocket.

Not very helpful, sorry.

Have you tried the dental school, quester?
