And really - just don't ask . I have a friend with one child. He really has been an easy kid ( he's 17) and she loves him very much. But she is sure that if she had not had a child, she would not have regretted that decision.

And I love my brother...we get along better now, but most definitely he was not an antidote to childhood loneliness even when we were having fun and not wanting to smack each other.

My current dilemma is about Dental insurance vs Dental discount plans.

I haven't had a dental appointment since I moved to Iowa 5 years ago. I also broke a tooth a year ago and have been waiting to get it fixed. I signed up for a plan on the Healthcare.gov site, but when I got the details I learned that fixing the broken tooth would be wait-listed for a year

So, I haven't paid the premium and am looking for an alternative. Does anyone have any experience one way or another?

Does anyone have any motivation lying around? I need to work on my syllabus. I made tea and roasted almonds, and they're delicious but they aren't quite enough to make my work brain turn on.

I don't know much about dental discount plans, quester. AFAIK dental insurance tends to be kind of crappy but it's better than paying everything out of pocket.

I think Ginger's advice is the best right now. Especially since I think you need that tooth looked at and taken care of ASAP.

Dental insurance is a fucking racket. So so expensive.

Over about 10 years, the Emory dental school installed 10 gold inlays and onlays for less than the proposed cost of the crown that sent me there in the first place. I was very sad when it closed.

Sorry, no experience with dental insurance vs discount programs. I've had mine through work since I got out of grad school. Of course, I rarely use it.

IOmeN, just got my first paper cut. On a finger tip. Just as I was getting a head of steam. I'm weird with pain management. I can handle internal pain, until it's level 6 or so. But a little cut? Yeah, then I'm a big baby.

Anyhow. All my retirement accounts are organized. I've made executive decision to not organize my college files, health files, and student loans as they are thick, and dead files, and not likely to be accessed. Well, health could, but, it's about 3 expandable file folders. Mom handed over my file from growing up. Yup, came across the bill for my birth. Nope, not going to sort/organize it.
