Wow sj that's unsettling.
My pipes froze. During the day , because hey it was in the negative teens all day today with the windchill factor and it's supposed to get down to -24 or something with the windchill.
There was also supposed to be heat tape on the pipes but I don't know if it didn't get plugged in or didn't get put on or what. The property manager for the mobile home community is going to be coming by, but from what I can tell I'm not the only one with frozen pipes.
And the fridge is not working right. And i've had to replace my computer and other stuff. Like the trash can got split somehow so I need to buy a new one for outside.
Once again it seems like when one thing gets fixed two more things go wrong.

Today has been lazy, cold, and uneventful. I like cool weather, but when it gets into the twenties and below, I just hibernate. "Uneventful" would be fine if I didn't have a list of shit I wanted to get done.
So it seems there was heat tape, just applied wrong. That's going to be corrected. I have water in the kitchen and bathtub and a tiny trickle in the bathroom sink. Hot water in the kitchen but not any yet in the tub, haven't tried the hot water in the bathroom sink.
All this learning to live in cold weather.
askye, my brother has been texting me the temperature for the past couple of days. Monday's *high* here is supposed to be -2, which is crazycakes...until my brother texts and tells me it's -18 RIGHT NOW. So I don't complain. To him.
Right now it's -12, feels like -12 which is an improvement. Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 20, we will see what happens. It's been really really windy and that's driven the temps down and we've had all kinds of advisories about the cold .
My car wasn't frozen, but the steering wheel fluid was this morning. And I was tryign to keep my face covered, but my glasses kept fogging over and I keep getting frost on the inside of my car windows.
Askye, I hope the water situation gets taken care of quickly.
I think the cold is one of the reason why the door blew open. It's so cold that the door has shrunk in its frame.
I am done with winter for the year. Which reminds me, I need to go shovel again.
Tickets are bought, so it's real: I'm going to Ireland in May with my friend Katie for two weeks! So excite! Probably should tell my boss now.
Hooray, Zenkitty. I would be extremely jealous but I'm going in September. Of course, I wish I was going sooner and for longer, but yay.
That's so funny. We are going (mainly to Northern Ireland, but the republic also) in June!
