Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I cross posted with Jilli.
I totally get the negative connotation. I'm always saying how We Need To Talk are the four scariest words...followed closely by 'we need to talk about money' and 'we need to talk about US.'
I need to be provocative to stand out!
My local media expert wanted me to change the theme of the show to 'Shit Messed Up People Say' and focus on why Miley Cyrus seems so screwed up. That's a bit more 'controversy' than I am comfortable with.
Yikes, Nora! I hope it heals quickly.
IOworkN, I just got voluntold (thanks whoever came up with that word, sorry I cannot remember which spicy brain it came from) to accompany one of the individuals to Hooters for his birthday. For weeks he had been saying he wanted to go to a strip club, but his dad suggested Hooters for dinner instead.
Yeah, I think forcing employees to go to a strip club would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. As it is, mandatory Hooter-ing seems like a hostile workplace thing. (Note: I'm not a lawyer.). Does HR know about this?
I need to get a small crockpot, because the one we have is HUGE and just doesn't work for the two of us.
Yeah, ours is huge too, but it just means we have a lot of leftovers to freeze or eat all week. And the huge one is great for making massive amounts of granola all at once.
t edit
We also got this 2-quart crockpot for the wedding (I had the idea that I might want to make hot dips or something), and it turns out to be perfect for making steel cut oats overnight for the 2 of us: [link]

That is pretty catchy, though. But I know I'm far more irreverent and fine with swear words than the average person is. I tried to start thinking of examples you could use (other than Miley Cyrus), and realized they could all come from my family. Like "I'm worried about his blood sugar, because he always passes out after drinking too much."
Yes. That was an actual comment from an extremely smart person who didn't want to cop to the fact that it wasn't blood *sugar* level that was a problem, but blood *alcohol* level.

Lordy. I can totally relate.
Speaking of crock pots. I saw recently...I think it was at Macy's...a 'twin' set of crock pots. One medium and one teeny.
Mine is huge as was using it to make Bartleby's food. Stuff in a chicken, root veggies and greens...a voila!
omg, y'all. A friend of mine...whose dog is one of Cagney's two besties...just dropped off a box from Sephora to support my video endeavors. Urban Decay brush shampoo, daily brush cleaner, Melt Down makeup remover and makeup setting spray.
She says she has a Sephora 'Black' card. Is that like a Platinum card, or something?
So generous and supportive.
sniff...
If Andi works in a group home, she probably is HR.
Maybe Dad could arrange a ride to Hooters or something?(I mean, I hate stuff like that, but it is part of a young guy's life, and so I halfway feel that I have to support it, just to encourage Client doing things Young Guys Do(that is, if he's into it and it's not Dad projecting.)
These social behavior/disability intersection things get so complicated. do not like.
I'm really tired. Tomorrow is a day off! YAY! And I'll get to see Will!
I've mystery packages arriving from (I assume) my parents) and have no idea who is giving me what.
I haven't sent out my presents because they aren't wrapped and other stuff. If I wrap stuff tomorrow the next day I'll be able to go the post office is Thursday .
Also just a note, if you live 2 hours a way from a place that sells computers and you don't know anything about computers and you don't drive/can't drive over there, and you've promised your son a computer from Xmas. Then NINE DAYS before Christmas is not the day to call and see if you can get help over the phone. Yes we have sales people but they are with customers.
Okay, Tep, I know you've posted it before but where is the lasagne recipe? I have got to try it.
Here you go: [link] And even though it talks about gluten-free lasagna noodles, you can use regular.
But watch the cook time -- the recipe says cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4. But my crockpot (which, okay, isn't a crockpot with a stone insert; it's a roaster oven that's all metal) cooks WAY faster than that. I cook it 3 1/2 hours at most, on a medium temp. So just keep an eye on it to figure out how long your crockpot will actually take.
Thank you!
It'll be a weekend project.
