Okay, Tep, I know you've posted it before but where is the lasagne recipe? I have got to try it.
'Heart Of Gold'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Here you go: [link] And even though it talks about gluten-free lasagna noodles, you can use regular.
But watch the cook time -- the recipe says cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4. But my crockpot (which, okay, isn't a crockpot with a stone insert; it's a roaster oven that's all metal) cooks WAY faster than that. I cook it 3 1/2 hours at most, on a medium temp. So just keep an eye on it to figure out how long your crockpot will actually take.
Thank you!
It'll be a weekend project.
And since it's a lasagna, you can mess around with what you put in it -- add meat, add more veggies, whatever. Lasagna is comically forgiving of whatever you shove in it.
?(I mean, I hate stuff like that, but it is part of a young guy's life, and so I halfway feel that I have to support it, just to encourage Client doing things Young Guys Do(that is, if he's into it and it's not Dad projecting.)
Yeah, it is my job to support this Young Guy in meeting all his needs and as many of his wants as possible - regardless of my opinions of his wants. I mean, I could probably make a case for "no way in hell am I darkening the door of any strip club because morals" but my professional ethics say it would be wrong for me to refuse the trip to a restaurant just because I may not love the boobage theme. If there were any male staff available for the afternoon/evening shift, I'm sure they would be first choice for the assignment. It's just like when he wants to see a sporting event - if there are any hockey fans available, the hockey fan will take him to the game but if not then whatever staff is there will do it. I also see it as similar to religious services - if someone wants to go to services for a faith that is not mine, I would still accompany that person (possibly doing a bit of research to find out how not to look like an idiot, if I were particularly unfamiliar with it). At the moment the only male on staff at that house works the overnight shift and just happens to be gay. So you know, no less awkward for him than for me.
TCG is fine but got into a minor car accident tonight. Poor guy did not need this extra stress this week.
You are a champion, Andi. I totally respect your professionalism and equanimity. Who knows, maybe you will get great service. I hope the young one really does enjoy himself.
A really good friend...the one who came to give me acupuncture treatments every day for the weeks following Bartleby's death, called this evening to tell me he has esophageal cancer. He talks about how badly he beat up his body before going into the healing arts with a certain pragmatism, but my heart just breaks for him.
I'm honored that he wants me to be part of the process and will do everything I can.
I married he and his wife last year and adore her for being the best person in the world for him. She is, however, really struggling. I think a big part of helping him will be helping her.
Here we go.
They just got married last year, bonny? How hard for them. I so feel for both of them.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel comfortable with the statement that there's some sort of moral taint to strip clubs. I'm not sure if that's what you meant, WS. I totally get the annoyance at being voluntold to take someone out to somewhere you don't want to go, however, so maybe that's what was behind your comment. As for Hooters, it's really just a sports bar/restaurant with an unfortunate name. And not very good food.
bonny, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. He and his wife are lucky to have you in their lives.
And not very good food.
So. The whole, "I'm just going for the wings" excuse?...
