Don't give me "Well, but..." and then try to tell me that you were just trying to apologize. A real apology goes like this: "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that." I'm a lot older than you and what's left of my time here in this plane of existence is too precious to waste on justifications that are pretending to be apologies. Just stop talking. Just stop.

There were multiple times last night I seriously considered calling an ambulance, I was that sick. I still feel like I got run over by a truck that was being run over by a train. I still hurt, and still don't feel so good.
Oof, Sean. Is there any improvement from last night? You may want to get to the ER today if you can.
It might be the flu or strep, like Stephanie said upthread.

Oh Sean, barfing all night sucks. I hope it's just a short-lived bug and moves on. Get lots of rest today if you can, and maybe get someone to come by with Gatorade or Pedialyte to keep you hydrated.
Just for the record I don't like feeling like this. In case people were wondering. I don't remember the last time I felt this awful. It seems to be getting a little better, at least not quite as awful as it was last night.
There's not much that's more miserable than stomach trouble.
Also, more on Arthur. He's tested positive for the coronavirus, which in some cases mutates into FIP (a horrible wasting disease for which there isn't any real treatment). Which means he may be a carrier, in which case U of Penn doesn't want to put a kidney donor into a home with risk of FIP. Or his immune system may be keeping the virus under control, in which case the immune suppressants connected with a kidney transplant could remove that control, putting Arthur at risk of FIP.
Bottom line, no kidney transplant for Arthur. We just keep him going as long as we can, which may be a few months or a few years. He's 3 years old.
{{{Sean}}} I'm so sorry you're feeling so lousy. There is very little that is worse than being that sick to your stomach. I know it is very difficult, but try to stay hydrated.
