I had to go see what the fuss was about and EEPS! I think the site may be run by soul-sucking demons.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ugh, a little TMI whine: I thought I was all better and could drop the yeast diet this week, but ONE DAY off it and my rash came back. Phooey. So back on I guess. Just roasted some almonds; I hope they get me through any cravings today.

35 days. Must. hold on.
Insent to your profile addy, sj. Thanks!
There hasn't been any rain today, and yet my head is still pounding. I think I'm looking at night 3 of not enough sleep.
Leaving for the veterinarian's office in ten minutes. Wish us neutral-pH pee.
perfect pee ~ma!
Thank you, bonny. I release the perfect pee~ma back to the wild. It did the job. Harvey's urine is slightly acidic with no medication or special foods. Boy howdy, was that good, because I was about to have to mix it up with the vet on the topic of the quality of nutrition of Hill's Prescription foods. I got to the "What are the ingredients?" part of the discussion when we both looked at each other and said, "Let's just see what his urine shows before we worry about the next steps." And Bam! (yes, Emeril-style) Good pH!
Yay for good pee, Harvey!

I had that conversation with my vet. Luckily the cat didn't need a special diet after all, because I wasn't gonna feed him that.
I just checked out the ingredients of Canned Hill's C/D and... no. Just no. My opinion is unchanged. I am so glad that younger veterinarians are learning more about actual nutrition. All the vets at this clinic are my age or a little older, so all they have "learned" on the topic was at seminars sponsored by Hill's (0r possibly Iams, but based on obvious bias I doubt that).
