Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How do I love a quiet holiday? I love it a lot.

I made the very best pot of turkey chili I've ever made in my life. It was from this recipe.

I added chunky carrots and celery and used both black and kidney beans instead of pinto. Oh, and twice the called for salsa.

Seriously delish.

Cagney had a friend over for a play date and has been very playful with me all day.

On this evening's walk, I passed the house of the last group Thanksgiving I went to...which was completely horrible.

I'm so grateful to be right here, right now.

Happy eating everyone!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I got Nigel to say "reverse the polarity on the speakers."

My sister was standing behind me repeating everything I say in song.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm glad you are having a lovely quiet day, bonny.

Zenkitty, you make me chuckle.

Laura, it's a tough thing. I don't know what else to say.

I actually got Cagney to eat a green vegetable for the first time. I steamed some kale and boiled some beets. They were both hits with the little dude.

I made the mistake of watching a film on hulu written and directed by Walter Koenig...starring Richard Hatch. It is ostensibly a think piece on a father's love for his son...but the son is an alien parasite who looks like a cross between the Baby from Dinosaurs in adolescence and, I dunno, the human centipede.

I need some brain bleach. A psychic palette cleanser...but I already watched Pangs.

Bah.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm listening to Alice's Restaurant AIFG.

We went to a friend's house for dinner. They are Mexican and El Salvadorian. We had turkey, ham, salad, and rice. And lots of pie. But now I have no left overs. Dinner was nice, if very light on English. We left a bit early after I realized the mom had kidney surgery just two weeks ago and was fading.

Our wings are not tired

Ah crap, just realized I forgot to call my Mom and Sister today. Not that they tried to call me either, but still, I screwed up. I'll call tomorrow and make amends.

Thrive to spite them

I am awake after my first Black Weekend shift. (It's not really Black Friday since 1) we opened yesterday and 2) the prices run through Saturday).

It wasn't so bad. At the beginning there was confusion over tvs - they were supposed to be ticketed items (you take the ticket to the cashiers, they get your product, then you pay) but someone was trying to grab them and said they weren't ticketed. Finally I was told, we had extras, so people without could take one. One per customer. I told the people that - one per customer. "Oh yeah! We have other people with us" and gestured at some people standing nearby.

Cut to the line - they are trying to buy 4 of the tvs. They were arguing trying to get them but finally the managers shut them down. "Someone said we could have them." Yeah, someone said you could have one per person.

Then we have this really nice cashier who isn't 17 yet, she's great with customers and a hard worker. I was down in my area and this group of women came by loudly complaining about the really rude cashier who should be fired. So I stepped in and said, I was sorry they had a bad experience and I would let someone know.

I turned around and saw my supervisor was talking to the cashier and I just waited. The women continued to trash talk her "I said shit and she said something about my language and then she said I needed glasses, I need glasses that ugly cow needs glasses. I'll show her who needs glasses." With her friend kind of egging her on.

We had one of our security staff there So I let he know they looked like they might try to make a bigger scene. But eventually the cops that were there told them to leave.

There were also 4 sherriff's or police offices standing by the door so hopefully that deterred some shoplifting.

Afterwards I looked at stuff I wanted to buy, but I didn't. I don't think they are going to be there today when I go in, but I really need to buy Christmas presents for everyone else before I buy stuff for me.

And on the plus side of being full time, I got holiday pay and time and a half.

I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been, askye.

Yay time and a half! I'm glad you have some security backup, askye.
