Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Family fun: My Mom just took an email that was actually a reply to me with her added to invite us to a social thing. Mom somehow decided that my sending the original mail from one account and already replying again meant that she should send her reply to the other email account I have with the stupid name that I really never want to be associated with work or people that I am a grownup around.

Why?

That makes no sense and she hasn't emailed back when I asked and stated again that I prefer to use the gmail address that is simply my name.

I don't like my worlds colliding. I especially don't like when people are throwing them into each other intentionally for no reason.

Our wings are not tired.

Yum! I just finished making the sausage stuffing and the apple nut variety. (Well, Bobby made the sausage one) Also did some more prep stuff and washed too many pans and bowls. Enough for the night.

Feet up and wine glass in hand.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm going to a fancy dinner out tomorrow (with beer pairings!) but I would really love a big ole pile of mashed potatoes and gravy. Hm, I'll make a mini-turkey dinner over the weekend.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Crap. I forgot I told my sister I'd bring appetizers. I was so focused on the stupid last-minute addition of sweet potato rolls, I forgot about the cheese and crackers. I don't want to shop on Thanksgiving.

Lots of stores that sell cheese and crackers are open until 11pm, or even 24 hours. At least locally to me. Different regions have different customs in this matter.

Potato rolls are common.Sweet potato rolls, not so much. If you find them they may be called sweet potato biscuits. If you can't find them, find out if your sister will be satisfied with potato rolls which you can find in most supermarkets.

Trader Joe's has sweet potato biscuits, though I can't guarantee any particular trader joe's has them and I don't even remember from past conversations if you have a TJ near you. If TJ does have it you can get the crackers and cheese there too.

Thank you, Typo, for reminding me that it's not even 9pm and I can still put on pants and go shopping. Honestly, in my mind it was like midnight.

I found the sweet potato rolls! Success. Qa'pla! Also got another pie, just in case, because with an extra young man at the table, two might not be enough. Apple, pumpkin, and blackberry should satisfy everyone.

Smart people can be stupid too

Happy thanksgiving, Americans!

I'm delurking again (I think this might be the third time since I started reading in 2005... wow I really need to work on being less shy)

All the food talk is giving me serious t-day envy, I may have to make a mini thanksgiving dinner this week.

sj, I don't have any personal experience to contribute but I've found the babycenter community (while nightmarish in places) to be a good source for that kind of info. I'm so sorry you're having such nasty side effects, hormones can be so screwy.

Hi, Helena! Thanks. I tried googling, but I was only finding the scary this will kill you side effects. So I stopped. We made it to Mom's and I'm feeling a little calmer.
