Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I don't think I've had oysters in dressing. My mom didn't care for them, so she never included them, and I guess it's not a big thing in central NC.

The status is NOT quo.

I make a vegetarian stuffing using the Trader Joe box as a base and adding celery, apples, onions, and dried cranberries. It's yum.

I was horrified the first time I went to my old roommate's house for thanksgiving and the stuffing had oysters. It was so weird to me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oyster dressing is the best.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Tep,

I call that form of nostalgia, "Saturday."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

No oysters for me. No shell"fish". Ever. In anything. The first time I heard of oyster stuffing in turkey, I thought it was a joke.

You don't put it in the turkey, if that helps.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tep,

Heh. I may or may not have put Ally McBeal DVDs on hold at the library. (They don't have Dawson's Creek DVDs in the library system, which is probably a good thing.)

Come to think of it, this media nostalgia happens every year around this time, and I usually address it with library DVDs. Two years ago it was 90210 (the original series), and last year it was The O.C.

I wonder what that's all about.
