Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'd like to smear the people involved with bacon and put them in a cage with a bear.

Is there any local media that might cover what happened, smonster?

Compassionately intolerant

Thank you Cass. I'll probably do some writing about this and appreciate the source material.

Also, UGH. It's hard to even know what to say about crap like that.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

As distasteful as it is, you'll probably want to check out more of the results here [link] then if you are writing about it. I believe he has a second dog now.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Posts like all of this are what will drive me to become a crazy animal lady. I swear saving animals is the only thing that would get me to buy a larger piece of property.

I once thought I would adopt more children, but I know my limits and I do not have it in me to mother more than mac.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

smonster, if you wanted to approach papers/local blogs, I'd recommend NOLA Defender, Gambit, and nola.com/Times Pic.

Unfortunately I only know food writers for all those, but I can maybe put you in touch with my friend M who worked for nola.com and is now with Gambit. if you wish.

People are just ... so often awful sometimes. I'm told we are not supposed to cleanse the world with fire though. Something about the legality. Morality. There was an -ity involved.

I let a veterinarian dig a splinter out of my foot today.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Said veterinarian was probably glad that you did not attempt to bite the hand that was healing you.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

You don't have a cone of shame to keep you from disturbing the dressing, do you?

She's got a surprisingly awesome bedside manner when you don't try to bite or scratch her.

No cone of shame. I promised not to lick my foot.

I do have the band-aid of "seriously, previous adhesives ripped up my skin" above the splintered spot but that was my bad.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I caught up on Doctor Who, with five days to spare. Now I don't know what else to watch.
