'Trash'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And I'll just bet that replying, "Well, better a handicapped child than a normal one who grows up to be an ass hole I suppose" is somehow rude, huh?

Hah. I think it would only be deserved. Family or not.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Man, Tim is a rock star. The poor guy had oral surgery this morning (gum grafts, eeek) and needs to take his pain meds. But no, he had to drive me to urgent care b/c my 3-day migraine suddenly got worse (vertigo when I previously had none, stabbing behind both eyes when it was previously just one eye). Apparently my blood pressure is really high, even for a Lang. I'm waiting for the doctor and undoubtedly a shot of Toradol in my bottom. And then my poor husband whose mouth hurts can go home and take pain meds.

Man, I am the worst wife ever. I should be making him mashed taters for his sore mouth, not keeping him from his narcotics and forcing him to drive me to urgent care. Bah.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Steph, that sounds hard on both of you. Sending many vibes that you both get home soon. And agreed, Tim's a rock star. Good thing you married him.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I found out that she does not want to donate any organs or body parts (which pisses me off, but those are her wishes)

My Dad didn't either and I was surprised. But honored his wishes.

He's a rock star. Hopefully you both get pain relief soon.

I got a shot of Toradol on one side and phenergan on the other. Now I'm just waiting for them to finish the paperwork so I can go home and poor Tim can take his painkillers.

I want phenergan like mad. I swear I daydream about the cough syrup with that and codeine the last two weeks. Stupid bronchitis.

Go forth and be heavily medicated newlyweds.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Teppy, I hope you are both feeling better by the time you see this.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Tep,

what I don't understand is how you can type (typo free) while having a raging migraine. Damn.

Compassionately intolerant

Oh my. It is a bleary morning.

Yesterday was the 27th anniversary of the end of my adventure on the Great Peace March. All day, there were reminiscences on fb. Lots of stories I knew and some that got validated through time.

Coincidentally, one of the Marchers I love most came to town to do a screening of his most recent documentary on the domestic use of drones. After many transport woes (coming from LA), he finally made it here around midnite and we chatted until 3:30. Less of a strain for his body than mine!

It was wonderful, walking down that memory lane...sharing similar stories and learning surprising new things.

Now, he's off to the conference and I feel like ugh.

Somehow, the water situation resolved itself...following a 30 minute, all-taps open flush.

AND, my house smells like a candy store. The internet tells me that peppermint oil works as a deterrent for mice...actually a good friend said it worked and the internet supported him.

SO. Soaked cotton balls all over the house.

Tonight...a black tie event where, hopefully, the petcare company will win one of the two awards for which we have been nominated. I'm going as the 'mouthpiece.'

I predict a MAJOR nap between now and then.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Steph, I went to a neurologist recently about headaches and she put me on nortriptyline, which has really helped me. For a couple of weeks, I had literally no headaches. I still can get them for whatever reason (sinus stuff, migraine, tension headache), but they're much less intense.
