Yeah, we're building a race of frog-people. It's a good time

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I love these dresses SO MUCH: [link]

I always tell phlebotanists the same. You have the needle, let's work on you being calm focused and on task. I'll work on not passing out.

Hah--the "phlebotanists" typo has me giggling, imagining very serious people in scrubs trying to get blood from a plant.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I hid all the collars. Nico has either stopped hunting them or given up on getting praise from me while I'm trying to sleep. ION, Malachi gets total bonus points last night. I was desperately trying to sleep on my back (pain is +4 sleeping on right side and +3 sleeping on left side, but i've ALWAYS been a side sleeper which has made the last few months utterly miserable) so while I'm trying to savasana into sleep smaller cat climbed up onto the bed and settled against my right side with his head resting just over my liver. Purring. I'm pretty sure resting kitty purrs are equally medicinal to a castor oil compress. I actually slept on my back for 3 hours before rolling onto my side and starting the tossing and turning process. 3 hrs of good, solid, back sleep. I call that progress. Malachi got some good nip this morning.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Good Mal!

Phone typing is a harsh and sarcastic mistress.

Maybe that's what we could call people who get sap for maple syrup. Also, good Mal.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Malachi is an excellent cat.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

erin, I don't know if this would work for the type of pain you're having, but have you tried Salonpas patches? Sometimes my back pain won't yield to anything but those.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

smonster, I'm glad it was nothing serious for Bella.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Excellent Mal! Studies have shown (Which studies? Where? By whom? IDEK) that cats purr at a level of decibels which promotes healing, and cats have also proven nearly as acute as dogs at pinpointing illness or infection in the human body. So, really? Very good Mal!

smonster, how ick--for her and for you. But I'm glad she's gotten relief and that it was nothing more serious.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Purring is proof of a benevolent universe. Okay, maybe that's overstating it, but it's proof that God is willing to throw us a bone every now and then.
