Just tryin' a little spicy talk.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I used to have it at least monthly. Finally was told to suck it up or get my tonsils out when I was 23. Recovery was hell but I haven't had strep since. Really regret I was able to talk my way out of surgery when I was little. But that, as I recall, was just that they were inflamed a lot but not phrased as a great reservoir for strep. Weird when a chronic health thing is just fixed. Nice. But weird.

Mine are only every few years, but I still wish I didn't have the stupid tonsils. That said, it's not often enough for the docs to recommend I go for whacking 'em.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That said, it's not often enough for the docs to recommend I go for whacking 'em.

It's a brutal recovery.

It's also why I think morphine isn't shit. Because it didn't even touch the post-op pain. Well, it probably did. But it didn't good touch the post-op pain.

I'm glad that I did it but it's not a minor thing. And, actually, I don't even know why. Kids pop back so fast from it.

edit: Oooh, newer, easier on the body procedures now. That's awesome.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

There is no vaccine for it (there are for some bacterial infections, like pertussis, but not for this one).

Urk. Thank you very much for the correction.

Had an impromptu drink or two with coworkers. And then Boston won so E bought us a round of shots. Holy fuck, last time I was drunk on a Tuesday was... I was going to say Mardi Gras but I was sadly sober on Mardi Gras. Good times.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ha -- I'm having wine and D is having cider. I'm all "We're drinking on TUESDAY! END TIMES!"

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

OMG, I want a drink SO BAD. And I have a house full of wine, ciders, and various varieties of booze...so much deliciousness...and so much bad interaction with the drugs :( I can totally rationalize drinking with the liver tumor- livers regenerate pretty well! But pretty sure that booze + muscle relaxers (or worse, valium) might be not for the best. *sigh* It makes me sad. So i'm working on eggs cuz at least for that i gotta be sober to get good straight lines. yeah, I'm totally staying sober for my art. Totally. That's what i fully believe. If I keep saying it enough, it'll be true, right?

Always Anti-fascist!

GC, I haven't felt like I had a "my doctor" in fifteen years. As opposed to someone on a list I got antibiotics from.

brillig

I'm totally staying sober for my art. Totally.

Which is a twist on the traditional relationship of art and booze.

Thrive to spite them

I could use a drink. Things at work were stressful, someone was claiming they were promised a delivery/install time (we don't do that) and their item was a special order. Someone else's order got cancelled somehow. I don't want to deal with it.

I was on the phones, but there was about 1 1/2 hours with only one cashier so I went up to help with the line and rang up another cashier, he has a reputation around the store. I'm pretty sure he was using his friend's money to buy something for his friend which is completely against company policy. But I'm not sure there were some things said and the friend kinda wanted him to do things and I think the friend mentioned it was his money but I didn't want to make an issue out of it. But I ended up telling the closing manager.

And then I realized I have to work with this kid tomorrow night, just me and him on the registers. I'm not looking forward to it.

Plus between this and the other thing I feel like it makes me look difficult.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am drinking mint tea with honey and Old New Orleans Rum Company cajun spiced rum.

I'm pretty sick of being sick.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I don't understand why people don't trust their doctors. When mine told me I needed the flu shot when I was pregnant? I got the effin' flu shot! Her job is to protect my health and the health of my baby and I trust her to do that.

Some doctors I trust for some things, other doctors I trust for other things. I have a dim view of the medical profession as a whole on certain aspects of my health. I have formed a habit of verifying some types of information I get from them. So yeah, there are times when if a doctor makes a recommendation, if it seems counterintuitive to me, or I think I may have heard conflicting information, I will delve deeper before blindly accepting a doctor's advice. So I can totally see how someone might ponder whether getting a flu shot while pregnant is standard procedure or not. Of course, that particular question would be easily resolved for me, just by double checking with WebMD or the Mayo Clinic site, or some such.
