One of my high school teachers delivered their third child in their VW Bug by the side of the road. He crouched on the outside with his wife's legs over his shoulders. he said he was surprised not one car stopped to see what was going on.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My niece, my sister's second child, managed to wait until they got to the hospital, but was born before the epidural could get there.
My parents were going to a party when my mother went into labor with me. Since in those days the father's only job was to pace in the waiting room, my mother said, "Oh, it will be hours yet. Go on to the party." I was born before they could get my mother into a room. She has frequently told me, "I had you by natural childbirth. They didn't have time to give me anything."
With Bobby it seemed worse than the first time and I wanted something, anything, so they set an IV, but wouldn't give me drugs until my doctor arrived. The doctor arrived and said PUSH! Right in the ER. I was annoyed that I endured a needle for nothing. He was born super alert and hungry too.
{{{Aims}}} I'm so sorry for your loss. Your friend sounds like an amazing person.
My BFF's second kid fell out. Literally. She was walking, like they tell you to do during labor, and she paused and WHOOMP! Rosie entered the world. She doesn't remember pushing.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Aims.
I was asleep - now awake. and my brain has picked something to be annoyed at that isn't real. Seriously a stupid reason to be awake
Still fighting the vestiges of a nasty headache from last night. Bleargh. I have to do some housecleaning for reals this week. My office is...um.
And coffee is starting to not taste very good to me. I don't know if it's because we're drinking cheap coffee, or if it's steroids, or age, or what. But I am drinking less than a mug a day, usually, which is a crazy earth-shattering change.
Aims, I'm so sorry. She sounds like an amazing person, and I really enjoyed her blog posts.
