That will teach me to get lazy when it comes to dental work. Half of my face is STILL NUMB.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I have a sudden urge to floss.

Erin, yay for geeky pilot and effective medical treatments!
sj, yay for mini-vacations! Well needed for stress reduction.
le nubian, pretty, but I can't even imagine not completely messing that up.
erikaj, flirtation is fun stuff!
Pix, virtual ice packs! I hope recovery is quicker than anticipated.
Life still very hectic here. Boat sale worked out. We were out of town for business when the marina needed us to sign papers so they emailed them along with a FedEx label to send them on the be finalized. I look at the label and the destination is close to where I am out of town, so I dropped them off instead. So we are gently using the boat this last weekend and will deliver it to the marina on Monday.
Business and Evil Bank stuff still very challenging. Mom still sick, but she had a chest x-ray and they said no pneumonia so that was my big concern. They would have put her in the hospital if that wasn't clear because of her age. I don't see any way she will be well enough in a week for Bobby's graduation. Recovery isn't a quick process for her anymore. I visited Friday and Saturday and both days she was dressed and downstairs, but she didn't stand up at all while I was there and normally she stands to greet me and always walks out when I leave. But she is drinking and up and dressed, and she has to go up and down 3 stairs each time she has to go to the bathroom so she is moving somewhat. She knows how important it is to keep hydrated and moving to keep from being hospitalized.
Seriously, I am so grateful that she is in such good health generally at her age. Her mental state has barely diminished at all. She is up on all current events and pays all her bills and stuff. She cooks and cleans and shakes her wee fist at the obstructionist Republicans. 92 happens this summer and she is fragile. She certainly can't handle exposure to her great granddaughter's RSV with ease.
Glad your mother is on the mend, Laura. 92 is no joke.
It is, Laura, but I'm not sure if I want to play more or not. Glad your mother's doing better.
In a surprisingly sudden delivery this baby was born just outside of the Boca hospital doors yesterday. That child was not going to wait any longer. The woman's husband is a photojournalist here so their photographer friend was with them expecting to photograph the delivery inside the hospital. [link] I post the link under the assumption that people find birthing babies and nursing to be a beautiful thing. The dad's expressions are lovely.
Oh wow, Laura, those photos are amazing!
How beautiful...and what a great story. Baby Sienna is no playin'. She clearly has stuff to do.
Bless that mother's heart.
Great photos. Thanks for posting, Laura.
We had a great day. We went to Mass MoCA and to our favorite tapas restaurant. However, I really really overdid it. So, now I'm an anxious hurry mess and trying not to be a total bitca. I'm mostly failing.
I am mixing a production of Rent tonight. I've never seen the show, never shadowed on this production, and I think I know maybe three of the songs. Talk about sweating bullets! Serious butterflies tonight. But at intermission, the director said it sounded good, so....
Whee!
