Xander: Am I right, Giles? Giles: I'm almost certain you're not. Though, to be fair, I haven't been listening.

'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

It's like trying to debate a goddamn house elf, except that they have more of a clue about what slavery really is.

Now he's all butthurt and doesn't understand why people are upset with him. He was poor once! His credit card was declined at the grocery store!

He is an entitled selfish shithead. I really loathe people with the mindset of Fuck You, I Deserve Every Cent That I Earned And By The Way You Should Have Gotten A Degree Even Though You Were Born Into Systemic Poverty And Horrific Racial Discrimination.

I'd like to say that if he were on fire I wouldn't piss on him to put it out, but the thing is, *I* actually care about people in pain/need. So I would probably put his fucking fire out, even though he seems to prefer to NOT pay taxes to fund the fire department that would actually put him out if he were on fire.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I put my oar in the water.

But I fear this guy's mindset for discussion is a bit like someone I bumped into on a forum for discussing The Mentalist, who was complaining of huge plot holes that I didn't see as plot holes because there were at least three scenes over two episodes addressing the issue. When I pointed out those scenes, she called them throwaway lines that don't count. i wanted to reply, "'Lalalalalaalalalal I can't hear you.' is not a valid argument."

And then there was the time my brother insisted that President Obama was responsible for the record setting deficit of the fiscal year that began a month before he was elected into office, and I explained to him the difference between a fiscal year and a calendar year, and showed him the CBO website that backed me up. And instead of acknowledging that he was wrong, he went into such a huge rage my SiL made him unfriend me on Fb.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Putin in the body and life of a lesbian! Mitt Romney as a poor black woman! Bobby Jindal as a homeless vet with mental illness! And just like in the movies, they can't switch back until they've learned a Very Important Lesson.

I say never switch them back. Let the poor black woman have Romney's life and the homeless vet have Jindal's. After all, they're not going to learn any life lessons. They already know it's better to be rich.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Nora, I'm sorry you're still sick!

Well, I am getting better (went to urgent care earlier this week) but having to cover Louisiana Craft Brewer Week this past week has put a crimp on my recovery. The next week and a half should be low key though, until we go to Denver for the Great American Beer Festival.

Fair point.

I think this hangover may actually be another migraine. Dammit. Unclear.

Okay, I dropped the mic and walked away. Stay walked away, smonster. Go do work. Let it go.

You are so much more patient and tolerant than I am. I would have unfriended him, both on FB and IRL, in a heartbeat. Ain't nobody got time for that.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I've seen him once in the last decade, last year for Xmas. I don't think I'll be seeing him again. He's a friend from HS, we worked together at a grocery store.

Now my anger and frustration has shifted to work stuff. Yay?

In better news, my second date with J last night went well! We met at a dog-friendly bar in his hood, and I got to make the acquaintance of his English bulldog. OMG. Ridiculous. At one point a chihuahua started humping his back leg and he was supremely unconcerned about it. Apparently he likes to get a running start and roll over fitness balls.

At the end of the night J did *not* invite me in, nor was there extended macking, and my socialization has me worried that he's just not that into me. Brains are are weird, and so is society. (just observing, not needing reassurance).

The status is NOT quo.

Just said goodbye to Chloe, who's stayed with us since mid-June. Already miss her so much.
