I've seen him once in the last decade, last year for Xmas. I don't think I'll be seeing him again. He's a friend from HS, we worked together at a grocery store.
Now my anger and frustration has shifted to work stuff. Yay?
In better news, my second date with J last night went well! We met at a dog-friendly bar in his hood, and I got to make the acquaintance of his English bulldog. OMG. Ridiculous. At one point a chihuahua started humping his back leg and he was supremely unconcerned about it. Apparently he likes to get a running start and roll over fitness balls.
At the end of the night J did *not* invite me in, nor was there extended macking, and my socialization has me worried that he's just not that into me. Brains are are weird, and so is society. (just observing, not needing reassurance).
Just said goodbye to Chloe, who's stayed with us since mid-June. Already miss her so much.
Wow, that time did fly by. It was a pleasure to meet her (and visit with y'all.
Pix, I loved seeing all the pictures y'all posted on fb. It's so cool that she was able to come ad that y'all could host her.
You guys. My host brother got married this weekend in Romania, and apparently he and his now wife made this music video of themselves to "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. Serious, serious schmoop warning. Like, don't watch it if you're going to need to really snark, or if you're feeling lonely. It's rom com levels of saccharine. But I want to share it somewhere, so here ya go. [link]
Oh I do love the schmoop! Adorable.
Oh, Burrell. Thoughts and ~mas to you, your sister and your family.
smonster,
that was just adorable! I am glad you said what you did about it, because without prep, I would have thought it was a horror film short. The car antics put me right on edge, and that's with the expectation it was going to be schmoopy.
