[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Second interview with big co in Seattle was a smashing success. Will see what happens next...

Go you! And thank you. I'm in the land of not dealing today, but I'll probably e-mail you later this week.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I love how you have so many celebrity sex dreams.

Around my house the celebrity sex dream means it's time to get busy, marital duty-wise. I have attempted to convince my husband that I must think of him as a handsome star, since that's who replaces him in my dreams. That argument hasn't actually worked yet.

That looks nice, but after apartment and then condo living for the last 20 years, I'm ready for some single family home fun!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Flop!

Awake at 4am, got to the airport and only waited maybe 5 minutes at the gate before boarding my flight to SLC. Work, work, work, meeting, meeting, meeting. Got an hour break after work (and I worked on the work I couldn't work on earlier cause I was in a meeting) and then we met up for dinner. Ahhhh, one of the true pleasures of business travel - a fantastic meal on someone else's dime. And we had some damned fine steak. And wine. Mmmmm wine.

Tomorrow, work, work, meeting, meeting, leave the office no later than 3pm to get to the airport and on a flight home. I should be back in my own place by 8:30pm tomorrow. Whirlwind trip, but it has been productive so far.

Mmmmmmm wine.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Very stressful day today. Mom managed to slip and fall at about 6 am. She only told me at noon, and did not mention until 1 PM that she had blacked out for a moment. That is when she brushed aside a lock of hair to scratch an itch and reveal a bruise and swelling. Apparently she had bumped her head, but had no idea of that until noticed. I took her to urgent care at that point where they ran some tests. Their verdict: probably a mild concussion, too slight to show on tests. So as a precaution she is avoiding housework and other forms of physical stress and computers and other forms of mental stress. Mild exercise is OK in the form of walking around the house or supervised walking outside. She can read and watch TV (even on the computer) but nothing interactive on the computer. No email or intensive browsing. And keeping her from doing housework is also stressful. It is possible she does not have a concussion, but from what they say given the size of the bump and the fact that she blacked out after the fall and does not remember hitting her head, most probably she does. (She fell on her bum, so apparently the head was hit on a cabinet or wall on te way down. ) For a 91 year old she took suprisingly little damage from the fall. Other than the mild concussion she had only bruises. Of course the reason she fell was that she had a tooth extracted Monday, was bleeding from 11AM to after 10PM. And was living on puddings and soups and juices and yogurt and Kiefer, and apparently did not get quite enough calories to make up for all the blood losses. I had stocked her up on the puddings and yogurts, and had made very rich homemade chicken soup, but apparently not quite enough. Anyway, even though it was more stressful for her, very stressful for me.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh Typo, that's quite the misadventure :(

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's a crutches day today. Haven't had to use those in a while. At least I already had a quiz planned for today, so I don't have to be on my feet too much.
