Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm home sick today. The past two weeks of trying to power through the pain have caught up with me, and I've just got no energy to do anything.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, I'm so sorry that the innkeeper didn't stick to her word wrt your wedding. I was really hoping that she would. You should do whatever you want to do in this situation. If you need to let it go, then do that, and if you want to fight back, you should do that too. Either way, I hope you are really enjoying that little high you get from getting married to the right person.

{{{Hil}}} I'm sorry, feel better.

Ugh, erika. I'm sorry you have to deal with that crap. One of these days I'm going to get into a fight in the theater by telling the dozen or so people ahead of me in line for the one handicapped bathroom on the first floor that a couple gray hairs doesn't mean they can't walk down six steps for the other bathrooms. My filter for not saying stuff is quickly disappearing.

Tea:

I could use some calm~ma today. We have an appointment with the fertility doctor this afternoon, and I'm currently not dealing very well.

Always Anti-fascist!

I don't know if the ADA not doing all that was promised is more frustrating, or the way it makes the people not involved with it feel like jailhouse lawyers. Or maybe it's that fucking "problem solved" smugness. In any event, sometimes it's not hard to believe I stopped going to the anniversary celebrations.(Also, the "parties" suck. I mean, I guess technically they are still parties because there is cake, but it was more like an infomercial.) sj, everything will work out for the best.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

sj, calm~ma to you. I'm not sure what stage you're at in the process, but I hope the doctor has some helpful information or a useful plan for you and TCG.

Steph, holy shit, I would be furious. Ugh. I hope you can do what you need to do to move past it, but also don't beat yourself up if it takes you a little while before you can stop thinking about it. You got majorly screwed over and lied to about one of the biggest and most important details of your wedding. That is not a little thing.

That said, YAY for being happily married, and YAY Tim for being a rockstar and taking care of you when you needed it. You two are so good together, and I'm so happy for you.

We've had all the tests (nothing was found to be wrong), but it has been a year now and no pregnancies. So, we're moving onto clomid and insemination and if that doesn't work after a couple attempts, IVF. t /tmi

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Oh sf. How frustrating. I'm sorry.

Hil, I hope some rest will do you good.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I started the day by dumping a bowl of cereal on my keyboard. I had to dig up an alternate, since the keyboard (my favorite) now just sends hundreds of q's into the ether.

Always Anti-fascist!

Oops, Merrit Weaver plays the lovably obnoxious rookie nurse on "Jackie", not the snarky British doc. Zoe is one of the few times that "so annoying, but you love them anyway" trope kind of works on me, so it's great that she won.
