I'm so pleased bonny!
'Dirty Girls'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hello, it's been a long time. Teppy's getting married and has a new job? Awesome! Glad your friend is okay bonnie.
erika, one of the things in Temple Grandin's new book The Autistic Brain is about eye contact, how for many people on the spectrum, direct eye contact can = sensory overload. Not sure if it applies to you but FYI. [link] It's a heck of a good book.
I have hard time with eye contact, actually. It's going to make tomorrow a little challenging.
I learned that eye contact beyond the very briefest duration was aggressive. Or maybe just pushy. I'm good at looking at cheekbones.
Found this on T Grandin's website, Unwritten Rules of Social Relationships: Decoding Social Mysteries Through the Unique Perspectives of Autism, [link] which sounds interesting. Not one library in the Bay Area LINK+ system has it!
I spent so much time staring at someone and doing bullbaiting during my late teens and early 20s in the C of S cult that I take it for granted that my perspective on eye contact is warped.
Awww, Teppy! You know that we all are with you tomorrow. Completely non-invasive hugs and kisses for the bride, of the virtual variety. Although you do know I would have a really really hard time stopping myself from real hugs if I were there. Your new DH is good with hugs, right? The next time we meet perhaps he can be the hug proxy.
Hey, Java cat! Good to see you.
I don't really have an issue with eye contact. Although some people seem to go overboard.
Tep,
have a wonderful day tomorrow! I am sure all will go well. You have all of us with you in spirit.
Happy wedding, Steph and Tim!
It's tomorrow?!
I've been so caught up in a the dram-ma around here, I wasn't keeping track.
Steph, I hope it is a day filled with more satisfaction and joy than you can even imagine.
Oh my. I'm so happy for you and Tim.
I'll be tossing virtual bird seed for you. Hurrah!
I have to confess, I'm a little verklempt over Steph's bouquet.
So sweet.
