[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Is that the Outlast, sj? That's good stuff.

My other really old-school regular lipstick trick is to apply a coat of lipstick, blot lightly, then LIGHTLY powder over it. Then apply a second coat. Works wonders.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

First, you want to start with a primer. That'll even everything out, and make everything stay better. If you don't have any, and don't want to spring for a bottle, drop me your addy -- I have a shitton of Smashbox primer samples.

Lipstick -- you'll want a long-wearing lippie. Yves St. Laurent Glossy Stain is pricy, but worth it. Lancome's La Laque Fever is also outstanding.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is that the Outlast, sj? That's good stuff.

Yes. It's the best drugstore one I have found. For my wedding I used a brownish color and layered a regular red lipstick over it, and it lasted pretty well. If I use straight red, it never fails to turn hot pink after a couple of hours.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Re primer, another option is the Monistat anti-caging gel which is virtually indistinguishable from the pricy make up counter stuff.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

My brain was fuzzy yestrday, today is a little better.

I have something to show off, but Flickr is not cooperating. I did post in Facebook.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Amy's recommendation is a good one. Though you might have to reapply after the ceremony anyway.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I third Amy's rec.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Doesn't powdering your lips make them really dry?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I SWEAR by Makeup Forever's Aqua Rouge lipstick. Doesn't really budge for 8 hours on me, even after eating and drinking. Also doesn't transfer to the other person after a kiss. Awesome colors--my favorite blue-red comes from this line. Sephora carries it.

You do have to make sure your lips are smooth though. Exfoliate and use some lip balm about 30 minutes before application.
