Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Kick some ass, Suzi!

I was inspired by a book I just finished reading to make some clean out the fridge minestrone for dinner. It took forever to put it all together, but it should be worth it as there should be leftover for the rest of the week.

Also, note to self, do go to a specialty food store just after finishing a foodie type book or you will buy all the things.

Crazy walker is crazy.

The gentleman we had to fire recently for threatening a client and being nuts in general, just walked in front of my house wearing our employee tshirt and walking one of our dogs.

By the time I ran upstairs to get my camera, he'd headed down the street but a quick call to my friends with a shop along the way netted a couple of very clear photos of him breaking his contract.

Sheesh. The noive of some people!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Good luck, Suzi!

bonny, back in Arizona, my work husband used to say, "sometimes I wonder about people, other times... I just don't know." I think that applies now, to both the former friend and the not-so-former dog walker.

L'shanah tova, shir and everyone else who celebrates!

I'm Gonna use this THE WHOLE TIME now. (Hi, I was raised in the south. Not your country's south, and yet, a south).

Lots of countries have a south.

Word, Andi.

To counteract all the ickiness, my good deed for the day was to assist an older woman who took a terrible tumble right in front of my house.

The poor dear. She took the brunt of the fall on her right cheek which, as we sat on the bricks together, grew before my eyes.

By the time I got her an ice pack and walked her home, it was the size of the proverbial egg. HUGE and black.

She scraped her knee pretty badly too, but said several times that she was glad she hadn't thrown her arms out to stop the fall because her hands and wrists are fine.

Golly, our quaint brick sidewalks are notoriously treacherous.

Swift healing to your neighbor, bonny. I am glad she was not hurt worse.

I have fancy lady hair! BIG fancy lady hair: [link] (The photo from the front does NOT show how poofy it is, because of the angle the stylist took the picture from. Trust me, it is poofy on top. I mean, you can get a sense from the side shots of how poofy-tall it is.)

To be fair, this was the picture I showed the stylist: [link] although I DID say "Not as poofy."

I love the bun/knot/whatever in the back, so as long as Temporary!New!Stylist makes it un-poofy on top, I'll be good with it.

bonny, your neighbor was lucky you were there for her. I hope she doesn't wake up in too much pain tomorrow.

The soup is making the whole house smell yummy. And TCG is making a panzanella salad for dinner as well.

Always a blondie blonde. I dyed it brown ONCE. And it looked cool, but I'm more happy being a blonde.

Tim was concerned that I won't be wearing my glasses. "But I love you in your glasses. I just have a thing for glasses, I guess." But I think I'm going with contacts. I'm sure at some point in the evening, I'll need to take them out and switch to my glasses anyway, so he'll get both.
