[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Moving into the new apartment today. New hardwood floors arent ready, apt isn't cleaned. Luckily, since I have never known construction to come in on time, I did not schedule the movers for today. But this is fucking up my plans to move in stuff today. And I can't just leave because I have to wait for the cable guy.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That's hilarious.

I'm with ya about weak ass people Aims.

Zen was so helpful to me regarding my email to former friend that I calmed down so much...I decided not to send it. Instead, I was going to write a briefer, respectful note and mail it to her.

This morning I was told that former friend has been telling people in the neighborhood that I provoked the dog to attack me...this, even after telling me (in writing) that the rescue was negligent, the dog was never socialized, and that he had gone after someone else 'who didn't provoke it.'

Sope. I just sent the email, with even stronger language, outlining every detail of the event and aftermath.

I closed by saying that I will respectfully avoid her on the street and hope that she will do the same and that I am taking the issue of slander very seriously.

Weak ass people, indeed.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Best of luck, Suzi! And erin, ease-ma and simple fix-it to your tum.

Happy new digs, Vortex!

And Happy New Year to you, Shir.

Oh, bonny. The first epithet that comes to mind is Poop! Quickly followed by Balls! There are worse ones, and they are lining up behind my teeth as I type. Waste of air, and from the appearance of things, you're well rid of her not only as a "friend" but as an acquaintance. Spend no more thought or energy on her continued existance than you can manage. Better things and people and puppies to put that energy toward, ones that give good back to you.

Um. Was that too woowoo? Too bad, I'm leaving it. Take from it what you can, ignore the rest.

And hello. Coffee is good, and it is miiiiine. Yes.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

People. Life isn't fair. I just spent time letting a friend rant to me over a situation where a kid was allowed to do something yesterday that was denied to her son a couple of years ago. It is complicated but basically come down to her being upset over perceived unfairness. It was challenging to just let her vent and not respond with "life isn't fair". I know it is the mama-bear reaction. Been there, done that.

Something tells me these might be future friends of yours.

Hi Shir!! Happy New Year to you! I hope your migraine left swiftly, and it's good to see you here.

well, I suppose you could have been bisexual and/or open. Gotta respect the man for being so optimistic.

Oh, totally. And I was just as surprised to hear him say he's not gay! It was just entertaining, because it's been a long time.

I just heated up some trader joe's frozen steel-cut oatmeal with quinoa. Figured I'd give it a taste (since I woke up at 11:30AM and went to buy it. My back is KILLING me from something my trainer had me do yesterday, though I don't know what, so today is going to be "heat up frozen foods and lay on the couch"). Sprinkled some cinnamon on it. Could smell something after I did that, and was surprised cinnamon would be so pungent. Looked down, realized I'd quite liberally sprinkled nutmeg on. Oops. Rather stronger that I'd like. Oh well.

What I take from it is a big, virtual hug for which I am grateful, Beverly. Thanks...and 100% agreed.

Go team TENS!

I kinda wish I had one of those for my shoulder, erin. Good on ya for getting the right relief.

I just celebrated letting go of old rubbish by reorganizing my linen closet. I kind of love my linen closet. Actually, I have an unwholesome relationship with all my closets.

Fall just seems to be the time of year for me to out-with-the-old.

The plumbers inspired a redo of both my kitchen and bath under-sinks...now I'm eying my foyer closet, though I'm not ready to pull any coats out of it yet.

I'm getting the yard sale itch. Yes, I am.
