I'm kind of hungry, but the heat really makes me nauseous, so I'm not sure that I can eat anything. Plus I don't have much food in the house. And I'm tired. If I get hungrier, I can try an English muffin, I guess.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
No more work today. Putting away the work computer. Until tomorrow. Gah.
Is it too early to crawl in bed?
It has been floating around 100 in Burbank all week with humidity around 50% and we are outside installing Halloween Horror Nights. It was 85 last night at 2 AM driving home. Not on weather. Not on.
Steph, glad you're feeling better.
ND, that is too hot for hard work. Hope everyone is staying hydrated!!
I am, quite frankly, stunned. It's 81 degrees, but it feels absolutely gorgeous out.
The breeze is so lovely, Cagney insisted we stay outside. I dragged a chair out and sat with him while he howdied with the passersby...of which there were quite a few.
Very, very unusual weather for the end of August.
In other news, the petcare manager got a text from a woman I absolutely loathe today saying that she heard I'd been bitten by a dog and that I ordered it put down.
She has reason to cause me trouble as she is the walker who lied and stole clients from the company. I was the one who compelled the suit against her...which she lost.
I'm just boggled how she even heard about it.
I wrote to her on facebook, stating the facts, but have not heard from her.
As if I didn't have enough to deal with.
Yikes, ND. No heat exhaustion ~ma. Yes, hydrate.
So, I spent the day helping birth a baby. Poor SIL. After more than 24 hours she just couldn't deal with the thought of another contraction and got the epidural, and then about 5 minutes later it was push time. Then I watched my wee nephew Negasi enter the world. Besides the 5 family and friends people there I had my other SIL on speaker phone so she could hear us all yelling PUSH. It really is an amazing process, but painful, damn, watching her brought back that memory. Ouchie for reals.
The nurse asked her about the nursing and if she wanted to wait until the crowd cleared. Nope, there had to be a dozen of us tearing up watching baby boy enjoying his first meal. Although SIL and I aren't related by blood we share the whole lack of modesty thing. It was awesome that she was able to have so much support surrounding her.
I am exhausted! I was there for the last 10 hours. Watching your loved one is pain is tough stuff.
How beautiful and exhausting, Laura.
Blessings on Negasi's head.
Welcome to the world, Negasi! Congratulations on the new nephew, Laura!
Congratulations, Laura!
Bonnie, you might mention that if you hear she is spreading this false rumor, you will consult with an attorney with expertise in the law of libel and slander and take whatever action she advises. (Note that this phrasing is not the same as saying you will sue - just a warning that your good name is of value to you and that you will defend it.)
