May your ladybits calm down and give you peace.
The drama continues. Member A's mom, who is also a friend, called cause A was up all night, upset that Member D was so upset about being passed over. A's mom thinks that all the members are mad at her and A.
All other things being equal, it makes more sense to promote a HS Junior into the First Lieutenent position, grooming him/her to be Captain in his/her senior year. A is a junior, D is a senior. For smooth continuity of the team, it was a logical choice. Now, I don't know if this was part of the decision process but I think it should have been.
I feel so bad for A and his mom. He should be able to be happy and not feel like he stepped on anyones toes. While I can understand D feeling slighted, this stuff happens and throwing a hissy fit doesn't help the team at all.
she's just an old lady holding on to precious myths. Not sure it's worth unfriending over.
It's just how she is, you mean? Is this the "good heart" version or the "didn't mean anything by it"?
Best possible thoughts, Jilli.
Steph, I'm glad it's at least taken care of now. And yay on the good interview.
Also, yay CJ!
I'm glad you're feeling better today, sj.
I wish I could be wholeheartedly delighted about and in Swinton, but I understand she's a Polanski apologist, and...no.
Aw, big bro Emmett--Matilda's a lucky little sister.
Has anyone heard from bonny today?
I understand she's a Polanski apologist, and...no
oh NO.
oh dear ... I hadn't realized ... sigh ....
It's second or third-hand information from more than one source, and I could be wrong. I hope I am. But the possibility does spoil my delight in her. I need to track it down definitively.
Jilli, I love how they always hold those kinds of meetings at the end of the day.
Googling seems to confirm that Swinton was one of many Hollywood people who signed a petition in support of Polanski.
That is disappointing about Swinton.
Our big sale at the library bookstore is Saturday. So, of course. It is beyond slow tonight. Even though we already have all the sale stuff marked.
