[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hil, is she a relative?

Former teacher, from middle school and high school.

I think "Margin" is CEOlady's buzzword for "you do actually have a chance to stop and take a deep breath once in a while". She seems to apply it to both time and money management.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Ah. So "margin" as verb? Like "make time for?"

Former teacher, from middle school and high school.

That is awkward.

Yeah. She taught French. It was a pretty small school, and French was far from the most popular language, so there were just two French teachers, and I was in her class for three years.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Smonster, thanks. I'm home now. They were home at half past the hour because there was drama at the event they were at. Nothing too serious, I think. Sorry to bring the drama in here. I pushed myself a little too far today, and am on the edge of an anxiety attack. Also, my caffeine was wearing off, and I was worried that I was going to be too tired to drive home. Now I'm home and trying to decide between reading and sleeping. I'm tired but maybe a little to anxious to sleep. TCG is already asleep; I feel bad that I only saw him for about a minute today.

She didn't actually define her terms. She was using it like a noun, though. I suppose it means "breathing room". I very politely did not roll my eyes when she said it three times in her speech and the rest of The Cabinet nodded like it meant something to them.

Update on the night. CJ did make sergeant. His was the last promotion announced. There was more drama than expected related to a different promotion. Hurt feeling and parents snubbing other parents. Will be interesting to see how that shakes out. Luckily it doesn't (and shouldn't) have a direct impact on CJ.

Funny FB side note - I posted a picture of CJ and his Lieutenant, just bragging on them (their promotions were the least controversial). Well, one of the Board of Directors then posted it on the ARP FB page saying "Congrats on all the promotions". I just hope that doesn't spark any other drama.

Congrats to CJ! I'm sorry about the drama.

sj, I'm glad you got home safely.

I'm hoping to get some actual sleep tonight. To get to the luncheon, we had to leave at 8:30. Ingot about 2 hrs sleep last night. Tomorrow, there is a staff meeting at 8:30 that I suspect will last longer than the scheduled two hours. Then I have to be to actual work at 1:30.

I'd be more enthusiastic about losing sleep for staff meetings if the bosses would schedule them for times when they were going to have to lose sleep too.
