The dog bite saga continues, sadly.
He tried to bite someone else 'without provocation' and the rescue 'doesn't have the resources to work with him.' So they are killing him on Friday.
It's a travesty. The rescue now has 'new information' that the dog was never socialized...which they neglected to mention.
It must be horrible for everyone involved. But, on a hugely selfish note, I would really have liked to hear "I'm sorry for blaming you." But that was not forthcoming.
I feel terrible for the dog. He could probably do fine on a livestock farm, or even be rehabilitated. Which is totally hypocritical of me to say given, that I am not willing to do it myself.
Anyway. I had a healing session with a massage therapist/pt specialist today that helped.
Time to move on.
Oh Bonny, how sad. What a mess.
Oh, Bonny. How sad for the pupperoni. I'm glad you had a healing session today.
It really is sad. He was done wrong by everyone.
It's horrible to feel that I saved him from running in the street, and sustained these injuries, for nothing. Just so he can be put down by people who don't have time for him.
If anyone has a prayer for him, his name is Speck.
Ah, poor pup. I'm sorry Bonny.
If a dog bites you, Bonnie, it's a short matter of time before it bites someone else, unfortunately. Who is better equipped than you? Especially if the owners don't admit anything needs to be done?
It's sad, but I feel inevitable.
If anyone has a prayer for him, his name is Speck.
Oh, poor pooch. We had a Speck when I was a kid.
May Speck have a place at the Rainbow Bridge - even if he doesn't have any special humans to wait for, may his heart be healed. May he rest with the Divine in peace.
