[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sleepover sounds like it was a good time all around.

Sorry, Hil.

Good job conversation/interview to you, Steph.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Hot damn, that was fast! Sounds very promising!! Fingers crossed!

My resume does make me sound like I know what I'm doing. Freaky.

I don't know if it's full- or part-time, but I'm fine with part-time, because I can rustle up other freelance work to make up the balance.

And this would be a badass job to have on my resume (it's with the AMA).

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

AMA is pretty badass! And it sounds like your resume is a perfect reflection of you!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Fingers crossed for you, Steph.

Completely unrelated, but an amusing vignette from my Saturday night (Tim and I went on a nighttime tour of the local cemetery, which is a 733-acre arboretum and cemetery, with a 10-acre woodland preserve in it -- so, more than just a graveyard -- that was founded in 1845 and has spectacular monuments and mausoleums):

Actual conversation we had, while we were waiting for our tour group to start the cemetery tour (to set the scene, there were over 500 people waiting in very orderly lines for about 7 or 8 separate tours):

Me: Why did the police just drive by?
Tim: Because we're a big crowd. Things could get rowdy.
Me: Waiting for a cemetery tour?
Tim: The cop might think that this will be like Egypt.
Me: ...
Me: Pharaohs will enslave us?
Tim: No, *current-day* Egypt. Not cat Egypt.
Me: CAT Egypt???
Tim: ...they worshipped cats. A long time ago. In cat Egypt.

This is why I love him. (Of course, please note that my half of the conversation entailed completely forgetting that current-day Egypt is full of turmoil. No gold star, there.)

Compassionately intolerant

The dog bite saga continues, sadly.

He tried to bite someone else 'without provocation' and the rescue 'doesn't have the resources to work with him.' So they are killing him on Friday.

It's a travesty. The rescue now has 'new information' that the dog was never socialized...which they neglected to mention.

It must be horrible for everyone involved. But, on a hugely selfish note, I would really have liked to hear "I'm sorry for blaming you." But that was not forthcoming.

I feel terrible for the dog. He could probably do fine on a livestock farm, or even be rehabilitated. Which is totally hypocritical of me to say given, that I am not willing to do it myself.

Anyway. I had a healing session with a massage therapist/pt specialist today that helped.

Time to move on.

Oh, Bonny. How sad for the pupperoni. I'm glad you had a healing session today.
