Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Racing fans of Bitches, I had an awesome conversation with one of the guys at the house I was working at today. The fellow does not speak clearly, it is hard to understand him. I usually repeat what I think I hear so that he can confirm if I got him. Sometimes I have to try several times to get a single sentence. But he thinks Danika is great (maybe not quite as awesome as Junior) and thinks that there should be more girls in racing. "Someday", he said. Someday there will be just as many girls as guys. Smart fellow, even if his mom and me are the only people who really know how smart he is.

So what, exactly, does one do with fresh mozzarella? Besides eat it like an apple, I mean. Why, yes, I did give in to some odd impulses while at a Super Target today. Why do you ask?

Also, you know you are tired when you get the cat food and the orange juice out of the fridge and put the oj next to the cat dishes and the cat food next to your juice glass.

My appetite is behaving oddly. Another purchase I made was a jar of Nutella. And I keep wanting to spread it on things rather than eat it straight from the jar.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

So what, exactly, does one do with fresh mozzarella?

Cut it into slices. Cut tomato into slices. Put mozzarella slices on tomato slices. Optional but HIGHLY recommended: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, basil, salt, pepper to taste.

Then nom as needed.

Ohhhhh, I forgot about insalata Caprese. Yes, please. Now to acquire fresh basil.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hi Bitches! Nice thread.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hi Bitches! Nice thread.

Shame if something happened to it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cool!

My nephew shot a water gun at me today and jacked my laptop. I am missing a few keys. Genius bar and fingers crossed. I did not throttle him but it was close. Still might actually.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

But don't be resistant to change - because you really need to change your life.

For the record, I am not sitting in LA like a bump on a log. Also, I need more out of life than just making money.

I mean, I know I've mostly only surfaced my head lately when I've been grumpy about this or that, but my life here is not an endless parade of utter misery. These days, I'm very happy with my life here, not counting my income. Yes, my income desperately needs work, but I have writing projects and partners, and there's even signs and rumblings that something more might come of some of those.

I understand that it's a very good paying job in a nice city, but my hesitation, while I don't understand it fully myself, really is about more than just, "I DON'T WANNA."

I love you, David, but it's not just about me being resistant to change.

At least, I'm pretty sure. That's what I'm trying to figure out, I guess.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I love you, David, but it's not just about me being resistant to change.

I'm sorry, Sean. I didn't mean to imply that you were wasting your time in L.A. Obviously, you have many good things there or you wouldn't be reluctant to go.

However, writing in collaboration is easily done at a distance nowadays. Certainly face to face sessions are nice (Skype!), but I've done two books and many other projects over email and Google Docs.

And I do think you're undervaluing (by a lot) how much you would benefit from stability in your work and income.

Anyway, I don't mean to harass you about it. But it's hard to see you going hungry in Los Angeles, or scraping by without a car.
