(With a different doctor at the practice, who I think is Steph's Awesome Doctor.)
Cleves? He's given me steroid injections before. Feel free to tell him we're friends if you like making that kind of chit-chat with your medical professionals. He's very friendly.
Fingers crossed for least-inefficient process from here on out.

Yep. Awesome. (I'm really hoping to get this taken care of tomorrow, because I'm going to need to be able to help with setting up and stuff at the seder next week.)
Hil - ouch. Best wishes for some kind of relief.
A couple of weeks ago I started having terrible pain in my shoulder/back; went to a local walk-in clinic thinking it might be a pinched nerve and that they could do something ... maybe inject some novacaine into the joint. Instead I got checked out by a nurse practitioner who advised icing it (I'd been using heat). Tried that and it helped a lot. Got in to see a sports medicine specialist who verified there was nothing structurally wrong, advised that I keep icing it and, while it still aches some (and I have permanent wet spots from the frozen veggies I use as ice packs), it's much better.
Thank y'all for the ~ma toward Kelly and her bf. The bf will be starting a temp to perm job in just over a week. He had 3 interviews, the last one including the CIO. It is IT Support and they are willing to mentor him based on his experience to date and their perception of his ability to learn. The pay is more than what he was making at Comcast. Pretty awesome, right?
Bonus is that they have finally secured a place to rent and will be moving in a couple of weeks. I haven't seen it yet, but it is just a handful of miles from me, is within 5 minutes walking distance from the 12 year old's middle school, and the landlords are excited to rent to them.
Have I mentioned that CJ also has a new job? He is still at the old one, finishing out his 2 week's notice. Then he will be working for a tree maintenance company. Same pay but work he thinks he will enjoy more than replacing windows.
I now have an urge to arrange a conversation between him and smonster cause then I'd get interesting conversation AND smonster. Oh, oh, oh - and I'll have a guest room soon. Well office/guest room. But still - let the Buffista visiting commence.
All in all, it has been a pretty great week for my household. I'm kinda waiting for a shoe to drop, but only kinda.

I keep losing count of shoes. Have both shoes dropped, or am I still waiting for one?

YES!!!! They were dropping like flies earlier this month - I lost track of odds vs evens.
But still - let the Buffista visiting commence.
I need to get out there to see my brother on a visit that isn't helping him white-knuckle himself off booze. Maaaaaybe this summer.
That's awesome Suzi.
I . twitter ranted at Shatner. And for a bit of time forgot about my anxiety. I'm kind of in shock and I need to stop becuase I feel bad.
Oh, and now I'm about to be the worst mother in the world. I have been requested to come out to Oakland for 3 days of meetings. I want to extend the trip as much as I can to see my dad, visit friends, and maybe catch an A's game or 7 (they are home for those dates). Sounds pretty awesome, eh? Well, the weekend I'd want to stay is the weekend the kids are moving.
On one hand, me being out of their hair in the run up and during is likely a good thing so tempers don't flare in the wrong way over the process. On the other hand, I didn't help move her into her dorms when she went off to college (I had already moved to Colorado) and I didn't help when she moved out with her douche bag boyfriend (wasn't asked). I know my girl and she will likely say she is ok with it but won't be.
