Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's pretty here. But according to Weather.com we are supposed to have snow Sunday morning.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The AMA hasn't sent me anything to edit, which is fortuitous timing since my head hurts. So I'm going to take more drugs and lie on the couch and watch Ghostbusters. (Which makes me sound like a stoner.)

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Just heard from my boss about my annual increase. I got a 5% merit raise, which is the top of the available range, plus a 1% equity raise. I haven't gotten a 6% raise in YEARS. Lately, 4% has been exceedingly generous.

I do not, as yet, have the promotion I was given to understand would happen at the same time as year end increases. My boss says it is down to the paperwork, she has all the justification. But it is clear she hasn't actually talked with HR about it yet. I forgot to ask for an expected time frame. I'll give it a few weeks and then touch base.

But 6% is a bit more than 7 1/2 cents, every hour, every week...

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Good thing I didn't have anything I really needed to do today -- I woke up in the morning, ate breakfast, then fell asleep again and slept until 4.

I hope it's a lot more than 7 1/2 cents.

And I know how aggravating the HR delays can be, but congrats on getting some recognition anyway!

Thrive to spite them

Last night was hard, nothing like an anxiety attack about the future of the country right when I was trying to go to sleep.

Today though I called both Blue Cross Blue Shield and Delta Dental. A friend of Second Life sent me smiley faces and cheered me on over skype. Downside was I cried for about an hour after.

I applied for a job yesterday.

I also had a dental cleaning today which I go through only using one coping skill (naming off 5 tv characters from various shows). I forgot my stuffed owl and headphones to listen to music. My dental hygenist did give me a break AND asked if I had ever tried CBD oil for anxiety and then told me where I could get it in town. My teeth are in great shape.

Right after that I went to the grocery store to pick up odds and ends because we are supposed to get snow this weekend.

That doesn't sound like a lot but it is. It's not as much progress as I would like to make but I'm celebrating my victory.

Oh and when I got home and put away the groceries I hung out with my nephew - we shared the same chair and watched the end of Scooby Doo. I did not immediately have to go to my room and rest and recover.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Small victories, askye!

Heard from my mom's vascular surgeon this afternoon. Very good news/bad news. All her old stents are shot and pretty much can't be made any better. But, the foot seems to be responding to the antibiotics pretty well. So, we're in a holding pattern over the weekend to see how her foot does. Next week they'll reassess to see whether to just keep going with antibiotics (and probably lose the toes), or possibly do a vein bypass to get more blood flow (possibly saving the toes, and good for future blood flow, but a more dangerous surgery). So, cautious optimism is the buzz phrase. And moral of the story: diabetes is an asshole.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I got my first smartphone in 2010 and have been upgrading on the regular ever since. I love my Samsung 7 but am not wild about the software upgrade that just hit it a week or so ago. I can't even imagine not having the capability of a computer with me wherever I go. It's a worthy investment for the work I do. Though I think I need to get a better voice recorder, I had a 2 hour interview today and a quick glance showed that it only recorded about an hour of it.

much Mom~ma, Epic.
