Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Happy askye is AWESOME!!!

I kinda have tape allergies. But my skin isn't consistent. Sometimes I rash up, sometimes I don't. I haven't found any common theme for the times I do. When doctors ask me, and I say kinda, it confuses them too. But I don't want to say no and then rash up all over the place.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I have become kind of the office band-aid supply ... right now, I have some good brightly colored solid ones, an almost new box of Minion ones, and about half a box of Disney princess tattoo ones.

I like to give the Disney princess ones to the guys ... I'm warped that way.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It's gotten so bad I use gauze pads, and then that crinkle wrap that sticks to itself to hold it in place. It's not that uncommon. The lab staff just nod and reach for the gauze. 'Course, it's problematic when you need to cover a wound on the torso....

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My reaction to bandaids was absolutely horrible during fertility treatment. They still irritate me, but if I make sure to get latex free it's not too bad.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay, askye! Giddsome and smittful!

Once something sets off the itching, it spreads and my whole torso and both arms will itch for days. I can barely stand to have clothes touching me rn.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

My Friday night is reading a really heavy book about how adverse childhood experiences actually affect our biology in adulthood, as in all sorts of chronic illness and such. (There has been a lot of recent research on this, so it's not just woo-woo stuff.) But it also apparently has a section on ways to address that and mitigate the damage, which is the real reason I'm reading.

Heavy stuff, though. I can only read a little bit at a time and then I have to process it. I wouldn't be able to be reading it at all if I weren't in therapy. It's hard to take in.

Do I know how to have fun on a Friday night, or what? (Okay, I also watched 2 episodes of Leverage. It wasn't all heavy reading about childhood trauma and how it will give you heart disease in adulthood.)

I bought that book too. Haven't managed to read it yet.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Would anyone be willing to review/help me with my resume and/or linkedin profile? I need a new job but haven't figured out yet where or who my target audience is...so that's helpful.

That sounds really interesting teppy--I had no idea there were ways to mitigate it, though I had seen some of the studies about epigenetics and stuff.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Steph, what's the title? I'm curious about that research.
