Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
They would get a workout with my graffiti because my Spanish graffiti would be grammatically abysmal.
My adventures in online dating:
Bunch of random dudes wanting hook ups, one unsuccessful date, one guy who wouldn't take a polite no for an answer, got mad at a blunt no and then still wanted to meet me (I blocked him), and one 30 year old who lives 4 hours away who wouldn't take no for answer and instead of being polite I told him that I didn't like me that wouldn't take no for an answer. He responded with "o ur feminist?"
I replied that accepting no is polite and respectful. But yes I 've been a feminist since longer than he's been alive and been dealing with boys about as long. I'm not sure if he'll reply.
Much tech~ma, erika.
I can't stop clenching my teeth. I have a night guard which I'm wearing not just at night. But even with it I'm clenching my teeth and my jaw aches
Some anti-depressants and other meds can increase jaw clenching, askye--might be something to look at?
Busy weekend, so late replies, but:
When you balance the cost of car upkeep including insurance might it be equivalent to having Ubers regularly for getting to appointments?
Mom doesn't have a smart phone, and I don't know if there's a way to get Uber or Lyft without one. Her insurance company offers a few free rides (though it counts each way, so they run out fast), so that's what we're using at first and hoping to figure out what comes next before we run out.
Since I drive a pickup that she finds hard to get in and out of, we still have to maintain her car for when I drive her around, so no savings there, unfortunately. If we ultimately decide she's just done driving, I assume that taking her off the insurance policy should bring it down some, though both vehicles will have to stay on.
There's some senior/disabled ride service through MTA. I looked into it before, but the red tape was so epic we never did get it all figured out. I think it's time to try again.
sj, hope you and ltc got some relief/relievers.
Vortex, that's awesome!
smonster, hope you're feeling better.
Cotton swabs is one of the only places where I regularly flout the rules. Itchy ears gotta be dealt with.
Ack, gotta dash to a meeting! Hope I didn't miss anybody! Love you guys!
I went for my ultrasound this morning, and I should have the results in a few days. Of course the pain wasn't bothering me much today until the ultrasound tech started poking at it.
askye, I feel your online dating woes. I wish these terrible experiences weren't so damn common. I have designed my profile to weed people out to the point where I'm not really getting messages much any more. It's a bit sad but better that than wasting my time with jerks. I have "feminist" front and center, for example.
Am feeling somewhat better, if not 100%. It's really messed with my appetite this weekend.
I'm not on any medicine right now.
I'm pretty sure most of it is the current events. Today I think it's my nephew. I love him but when he is over there is no quiet. And he's exact date because mom and I played monopoly and Catan with him. But that increases the noise.
Almost non stop talking since about 9 this morning.
There a guy who is intelligent and seems nice and we are meeting up at some point next week.
And I have a coffee date Wednesday. That one I'm not sure about.
I keep getting guys who will message "hi how are you" every few days but don't create anyour conversation.
