I got my IUD place today and OWIE. Like, I thought I was prepared and I tried to breath through it but I yelled and almost kicked my gynecologist.
I feel you. OH HOW I FEEL YOU. But my pain subsided pretty quickly (manageable within 8-12 hours, IIRC, and gone by 2 days or maybe less).
But dang, my OB/GYN didn't give ME percocet. Boo.
It'll be worth it, I hope
If your period stops, it is SO extra super worth it.
Thanks, smonster. It was a crappy day. I was cranky, ltc was cranky, and then it ended with finding out a real estate agent, who was so kind and generous to us, passed away a couple weeks back. He used to beep every time he passed our house. I haven't heard him in a while because he's been ill, but I'm really going to miss hearing that reassuring beep.
I'm sorry, sj. That was extra crap on a crappy day for sure.
Oh no, my ass is at home and glorying in it. HE is marching. More power, yo.
Ah. I got over-excited by the idea of getting to see you.
I hope the owie subsides quickly.
Sorry for the suckitude, sj. Just a rough day for you, no mistake.
Smonster, I hope the pain subsides soon.
Hil, how is your pain level? Any ease?
Istas, the annoying orange is POTUS. What? Why? What?
What? Why? What?
Three excellent questions.
And then there was that. I was supposed to be telling my baby about our first woman President today dammit. Now I'm going to have to explain this mess to her someday.
sj, this will be ancient history before she is concerned with political affairs. Know that they will be so dysfunctional and divisive in the first 2 years that their majority in the house and senate will evaporate and leave them a lame duck administration for the next 2 years. Letting him be a blip in the history books as the worst failure in presidential history. Yes, that is my vision.
The boys were too young to really understand why I was sobbing and despondent when Bush was "elected", but 8 years later they were both excited and enthused to be voting for Obama in their first presidential election. This year was difficult for everyone.
I didn't watch news yesterday, but did catch reports on the car radio and FB. I was uncharacteristically petty in my reaction to the low turnout and general mess of both the inauguration and transition. The incompetence is blatantly obvious. Loving the comparisons of the 2009 inauguration and the success of the marches today.
The dismal failure of the inauguration and the massive success of the Women's Marches may not make a real difference in what happens legislatively and in the clear and present danger in foreign affairs, but I know that the thin skinned orange one devoured Twitter last night and is pissed that his party was mocked.
Aren't I a ray of sunshine this morning?
