Spike: Taking up smoking, are you? Harmony: I am a villain, Spike. Hello!

Spike/Harm ,'Help'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sorry for the suckitude, sj. Just a rough day for you, no mistake.

Smonster, I hope the pain subsides soon.

Hil, how is your pain level? Any ease?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

What? Why? What?

Three excellent questions.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

And then there was that. I was supposed to be telling my baby about our first woman President today dammit. Now I'm going to have to explain this mess to her someday.

Our wings are not tired.

sj, this will be ancient history before she is concerned with political affairs. Know that they will be so dysfunctional and divisive in the first 2 years that their majority in the house and senate will evaporate and leave them a lame duck administration for the next 2 years. Letting him be a blip in the history books as the worst failure in presidential history. Yes, that is my vision.

The boys were too young to really understand why I was sobbing and despondent when Bush was "elected", but 8 years later they were both excited and enthused to be voting for Obama in their first presidential election. This year was difficult for everyone.

I didn't watch news yesterday, but did catch reports on the car radio and FB. I was uncharacteristically petty in my reaction to the low turnout and general mess of both the inauguration and transition. The incompetence is blatantly obvious. Loving the comparisons of the 2009 inauguration and the success of the marches today.

The dismal failure of the inauguration and the massive success of the Women's Marches may not make a real difference in what happens legislatively and in the clear and present danger in foreign affairs, but I know that the thin skinned orange one devoured Twitter last night and is pissed that his party was mocked.

Aren't I a ray of sunshine this morning?

All those doctors that tell you not to stick things in your ears never say what you should do when your ear is itching so bad you want to use a stiff bottle brush to scratch it. IJS

I ignore those doctors at my own peril. I have super itchy ears.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Chronically itchy ears here, too. Mine's usually dry skin. On my doctor's advice, I wet a cotton swab with hydrogen peroxide and press it against the upper rim of the ear canal so just a drop of the peroxide runs down the channel. Sometimes I can hear it fizzing. Then a quick blot with a dry swab, and I apply petroleum jelly with a clean swab, because the jelly doesn't evaporate and doesn't dry out as quickly as other things, and keeps the dry skin flakes from tickling so badly.

It's worked so far to reduce, practically eliminate the itch.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My dad has this issue. Do you thing a blow dryer would help, like it does with other bad itches? Or even a heat pad?
