The ER vet couldn't get a urine sample, but based on the exam, she doesn't think Slinky has a UTI. She recommended that we increase Slinky's sq fluids to every day, until we follow up with the regular vet on Wednesday. So we're in a holding pattern.
And now we're at Tim's dad's to take down the Xmas decorations and I am hiding in the bathroom so I don't murder my father-in-law.
What do you say when someone loads your dishwasher with 2 weeks of dirty dishes that were stacked all over the counters and dining room table?
I'll tell you what you DON'T say: "You're doing that wrong! They'll come out dirty." I think fire might have shot out of my eyes.
Please do not kill the FIL. It is helpful that there are local Buffistas in case of need for alibi though.
I am a freak about how my dishwasher is loaded too.

You say, "Thanks! You didn't have to do that," then you take a stiff drink through your stiff smile and glare. If you're me.
Despite how messy my house is, I really dislike other people cleaning up and moving shit around.
My MIL used to always do laundry, dishes, you name it, whenever she visited when the kids were little. She still does the dishes when she comes to the house. I know it is out of love and she can get away with it on that basis. She also does a really good job of cleaning.
I struggle with the dishwasher loading issue just about daily with C living in the house. He loads it completely differently than I do. But hey, he is loading it, the dishes come out clean, so I've given up on rearranging it constantly.
I wouldn't load the dishwasher if it were a few days of dishes. I do totally get it that people are picky about how their dishwasher is loaded, but it was a full 2 weeks worth, and it needed to be done.
I promise I won't load alla y'alls' dishwashers.
I have no dishwasher so that won't be an issue.
We do hand washed artisanal dishwashing around here.
My roommate overloads the dishwasher. But probably if you had done that I would just go behind you and remove some dishes and rewash them later. Virgo.

We have a great dishwasher. (SPOILER: it's me.)
We do hand washed artisanal dishwashing around here.
Ours is free-range, locally sourced, small-batch dishwashing.
