Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

My MIL used to always do laundry, dishes, you name it, whenever she visited when the kids were little. She still does the dishes when she comes to the house. I know it is out of love and she can get away with it on that basis. She also does a really good job of cleaning.

I struggle with the dishwasher loading issue just about daily with C living in the house. He loads it completely differently than I do. But hey, he is loading it, the dishes come out clean, so I've given up on rearranging it constantly.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I wouldn't load the dishwasher if it were a few days of dishes. I do totally get it that people are picky about how their dishwasher is loaded, but it was a full 2 weeks worth, and it needed to be done.

I promise I won't load alla y'alls' dishwashers.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have no dishwasher so that won't be an issue.

We do hand washed artisanal dishwashing around here.

My roommate overloads the dishwasher. But probably if you had done that I would just go behind you and remove some dishes and rewash them later. Virgo.

We have a great dishwasher. (SPOILER: it's me.)

We do hand washed artisanal dishwashing around here.

Ours is free-range, locally sourced, small-batch dishwashing.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Truly are you two the Four Yorkshiremen for the hipster generation.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We do hand washed artisanal dishwashing around here.

As do we. One better: when the inlaws moved into their new house, MiL had the perfectly functioning dishwasher taken out, and replaced with a stack of cabinet drawers. H and I both come from a long line of artisinal by-hand dishwashers.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I love my mechanical dishwasher. Barring a total societal-technological breakdown, I plan to never live anywhere without one. And Steph is welcome to load mine up at any time, as I don't care about how it's loaded, as long as I get clean dishes at the end of it. (Plus that would mean we'd have a Steph visiting the Trianglistas, and how cool would that be?)

Thrive to spite them

I want to have a dishwasher so bad. Mom got a second hand portable dishwasher that hooks up to the sink but it wasn't compatible for some reason.

So we hand wash dishes. And there is always a fuss over how to deal with the dirty dishes (I think they should go in the sink, Mom thinks they should be stacked next to the sink) and what to use to wash dishes, I prefer a sponge and she likes those blue and white flimsy dishcloths that make me shudder every time I have to touch them in the water.
