Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

And now he just snapped at CJ, giving him a good tooth scrape - no puncture.

I've called the vet and their suggestion is doggie prozac so he has an appt at 6:30. I also found his muzzle. I'm just....wtfdog?

Oh, bonus, the vet's office texted Kelly confirming the appt because she is the name on his file so then she calls me to ask what is up. I had just been crying again and didn't do that great a job of saying it isn't a quick conversation, just want to get him some Prozac...cause...ummm...just cause.

OMG, Jack is such a snuggle 95% of the time, fearful/agressive but manageable about 4.7% of the time but then....that .3%.

I love his vet - I'll ask her advice on the notification thing. If our conversation create a need for her to report, so be it. I trust her to do what is best.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

California allows in-home quarantine to animals especially when they are vaccinated and symptom free.

I'd definitely work on counterconditioning and training with him. Fear biters are difficult because they give fewer warning signs that most people see.

I'm doubtful she could hold you liable.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh jeez, Suzi. I'm so sorry for you and for Jack (and the woman at the store of course). I agree with Sparky that I don't think you need to escalate anything, and I hope things don't go further than the medical bills and some more focused training.

And just saw the update. What a tough situation. I hope his trainer can really help you.

I hope his trainer can really help you.

Once we get past this weekend, I'm going to have Kelly call his trainer and ask for some one on one appointments focused on the fear/aggression thing. Though, honestly, last time we did a one on one for this issue, he never showed any fear or aggression. Made it hard to come up with strategies to train him.

I have CJ off picking up Cory from public transportation so I can explain it all to him since it is his daughter coming into our home for the next 5 days and he needs to know what is going on and what I'm putting in motion to counter things. Kelly doesn't get home until 8, so she will be the last to get the full story.

Man, today started out so chill.

I'm just....wtfdog?

You are, remember, his human, his everything, and he can read your anxiety, so he's probably feeling some, too. If you can give him some petting time, it would probably help soothe both of your raw nerves a bit?

I've been trying, Sparky. He definitely knows I'm upset and that is only going to double when Kel gets home. But I'm gonna give him some extra locks right now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, Suzi, that's so upsetting. I hope Jack is able to get help and training so he can calm down and it will all be okay.

Thrive to spite them

I can't sleep. I found out Grandma has had at least 2 TIAS. The second shemail had one the way home from her cardiologist after he said she was fine. The cardiologist is her regular doctor and a family friend so it's scary that something could happen that he couldn't detect.

She was hallucinating people (she did this in the hospital for her gall bladder) and couldn't remember her age. But did realize if she was 96 then she couldn't have been talking to her mother.

I'm sad and scared and worried.

Oh, Askye I hope you find some sleep and wake to better news.

A horrible headache woke me up and my jaw is so tense I'm fighting again my teeth grinding.

In Jack news, the vet visit went well. He was excellent for the vet. I put a muzzle on him just in case, but the vet took it off once she drew blood to double check that there isn't something going on health wise. I talked with the gal who got but and she did get checked out by her workers comp doc. She said they never asked if she knew the dog that bit her or if she knew the owner. They could find me easy enough, but I thought that was odd. She remained adamant that she didn't want to get Jack in trouble.

Going through everything with Kel once she got home was rough, she felt totally responsible.
