Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Scott Garrett is finally going down, right Hil?

I sure hope so.

Who is Scott Garrett?

Who is Scott Garrett?

Representative from the district where I grew up in NJ. Total jackass.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I grew up in the same district as Hil. NJ-5 has only elected a Democrat once in the past 100 years. Usually, they're moderate Republicans (including the classiest Republican ever), but Garrett is a total jerkwad.

Marge Roukema was pretty OK, too.

I just locked myself out of my apartment -- I was going out to the car to try to change my license plates (which I failed at), and, out of force of habit, I locked the door behind me, but I didn't have my keys with me. (The door locks by twisting a thing on the inside before closing it.) So, I had to go knock on my neighbors' door and borrow one of their phones to call the landlord to come over with a spare key. And then the landlord commented on the mess in my apartment when he opened the door. (I have been cleaning, and most of the apartment looks OK at the moment, though not perfect, but the room that the back door opens into is where I'd been stacking all the boxes and other random stuff to take out to the recycling bins, and I hadn't taken them out yet.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

askye, I don't actually know that person on FB -- it's a friend of a friend situation, so please don't feel like you have to continue to defend yourself if you don't want to.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc woke up this morning at 7. Stood up in her crib and delivered what I can only describe as a long monologue. Then she laid down and went back to sleep. I was awake and watched the whole thing on the monitor. It was hysterical.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I liked Millicent Fenwick a lot. The paper is reprinting a whole Doonesbury series with the Lacey Davenport character (who was inspired by/modeled on her).
