[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, that sucks, brenda.

Take a deep cleansing breathe before you go back in to face the family.

Here's some good election news, and this is consistent with what I felt about the debates.

And that is - nerd power. HRC crushed Trump in the debates because she had a plan, did the prep and executed perfectly.

And the Dem ground game/GOTV has been strong, focused and smart. They targeted lots of Puerto Rican voters who've emigrated in large numbers to Central Florida. They're doing an incredible job of turning out the hispanic vote which has always been elusive for the Dems.

Early voting in Nevada is way ahead of what its been in the past and I think it's going to be insurmountable for Trump there. And Florida is also looking way better in that regard.

Now, I personally will never take a damn thing for granted about Florida -- not since the 2000 election. I still have PTSD and I wouldn't count on Florida for shit. But if they get Florida it's all over.

And Nate Silver keeps talking about PA and MI as if they're in play for Trump and I really really don't think that's accurate. Certainly not when I dig down into the numbers.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

2000 scarred me badly. I was insanely nervous about 2012, and remember watching with my BFF. The news called it, and I was genuinely astonished that it was over that early.

Who was the Fox guy who blew a gasket of disbelief? That was fun to watch.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It was Karl Rove who blew his lid over 2012, wasn't it? He was so certain Romney would win he couldn't believe the results.

And Nate Silver keeps talking about PA and MI as if they're in play for Trump and I really really don't think that's accurate.

Agreed. If she gets PA and MI she's won, she doesn't even need FL or NV, but it would be glorious - I want her to win in a landslide, blow Trump totally out of the water.

Our wings are not tired.

I am greedy and want to wrap things up on the East Coast. NH, OH, NC, FL. I want them all. It would be personally gratifying to split Nebraska because of long suffering family and insane family. It may be wrong, but my cousin has been so abused by his Hillary hating mother that he deserves the Omaha vote to go blue. I also have friends on both side in NC and would get a lot of satisfaction there. It really can be all over in the eastern time zone and I would be most appreciative. Thank you universe for hearing my plea.

eta: My bitterness over this election is at a super high level because I just don't get how anyone could vote for Trump. Mind blowing. I totally get why the ass is running; what I don't get is why anyone would vote for him!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've finally finished researching all the different people that I need to vote on. I'm following the local Democratic party's endorsements on everything except one of the judges. I feel like an informed voter now. I also feel tired now.

Scott Garrett is finally going down, right Hil?

Who is Scott Garrett?

Representative from the district where I grew up in NJ. Total jackass.

I grew up in the same district as Hil. NJ-5 has only elected a Democrat once in the past 100 years. Usually, they're moderate Republicans (including the classiest Republican ever), but Garrett is a total jerkwad.
