The only reason I agreed to it is that a weekly meeting to force people to discuss documentation is good. But 7am is not a time I'm pleased about.
Yeah, that's a suck time.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I did almost compare having a puppy with having a baby, but I didn't want to insult anyone unintentionally. Or any puppy.
Ugh, sj. She's so stubborn and her own person, but that's got to be tough on you.
Could she play with a treat ball while you work? That would give her a little exercise to help tire her out.
She's shown little interest in the Kong. I'm going to try different treats tonight.
I've moved the crate from the dining room into the office/living room. She just woke up from a nap, we went outside to do our business, and she went right back to it. (Sidebar: I fed her at 8:30. She still hasn't pooped. I should be feeding her again now, but I don't know if I should.)
I don't think she's afraid of the crate, but of being left alone. The cacophony starts when she can't see anyone.
Her new thing is when I go to pick her up from the crib or the play yard she sits down so I can't reach her easily. She thinks this is funny, but it's very frustrating.
Oh F, cut your mom a break, k?
I have had dogs all my life, but never a puppy. Now that I have had children I understand that this was probably a good plan. We've had rescues and shelter dogs and dogs given to us by friends. I always knew I didn't have the wherewithal to house train or chew train a puppy.
Maria do you have something in there that smells like you? That might help.
askye, I do. It helped for the overnight shift, but with leaving the room? NSM.
Laura, the last time I did was in 2004 when we ended up with Coco. Rob handled the lion's share of training her. I obviously misremembered how difficult it is.

I'm a morning person, and I'd have trouble focusing on anything productive at a 7am meeting. At 7:00 I can just about tie my shoes and ask Leifur, "Who's a good kitten?" (but not always remember the answer).
Thankfully, working from home means I can roll out of bed at 6:50, take the meeting call in my pjs, and then head straight back to bed for a bit more sleep. And my boss apologized for there not being any other time that would work.
