I seen you without your clothes on before. Never thought I'd see you naked.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Sounds like you didn't miss much, Jilli.

Glad you had a good experience at the dentist, askye. I am nervous about my appointment tomorrow, since it's been so long.

I have now been to the Fluevog store. It is less than a block from my symposium and I actually walked by without realizing this morning. If I doze off in sessions, at least I will dream of shoes.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My DH has a FIVE-hour dentist appointment today. He has really bad and almost dark brown teeth, due to tetracycline use when he was a child (it's a thing- [link] ). He has always hated that they look that way. Today he gets veneers to cover all of his front teeth. They cost $8k, which we have been saving for for a long time.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My friend in college had grey teeth from tetracycline. It really bugged her.

Good look to him! May his podcast/music playlist be full and distracting.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Good luck David!

Glam, I would say something.

Wow, that's exciting, Scrappy!! But OMG, five hour appointment sounds awful, even if the results are worth it

Our wings are not tired

People do really horrible things around funerals. I still carry the memory of a friend of my father's yelling at me over the phone when he found out that he has missed the memorial because of a screw up and the word not getting out to the Shriner's group dad was part of. He was livid and merciless, and took it out on me.

Another masonic group had arranged the memorial and they got the word out to everyone. We assumed they managed it all, and apparently they missed that group.

Due to the mess with my sister, we never did have a service for my mom. I paid all the funeral home expenses, was written out of the will, never did see mom's urn, and don't ever expect to, or to see my father's ever again either.

So yeah. sorry to hear that family is being a mess Laura, it hurts, and it sucks.

I am so sorry you had to deal with that, Laura.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Laura, I'm so sorry. That's all so awful.

And Drew, I'm retroactively sorry for all that you had to go through.

Yeah, I wrote off my evil SIL after she screamed at my MIL after FIL died. I have zero tolerance for people that yell at someone grieving the loss of their immediate family. Zero. Never acceptable. I consider myself pretty tolerant and accepting, but I have some pretty solid lines, and that is one of them.
