Ugh that's super frustrating, Jessica. Really hope you can figure out a way to make it work. We've been looking at Joybird for a new couch so I'll be interested to hear how you guys like it once you get it where it needs to be (optimist!).
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Doesn't matter if it isn't serious as a heart attack, it still sucks, Jessica.
Thanks, smonster. I feel better. Here's hoping Jilli feels better too.
Is it really only Wednesday morning? I already have 30 hours on my timesheet. And I'm ready for a nap before 9am.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let my flight home be on time (12 hours from now).
Ok, I called a guy and he said it's possible, if he takes the sofa apart and takes the light fixture out in that hallway (and then puts it back in the other room). He's going to get another guy and see when they can come back and do it. THIS IS GOING TO BE OKAY.
My brother has been periodically texting me pictures of dogs over the past couple of days because he knows I'm stressed. BEST BROTHER.
The weather changed, so my migraine has pretty much gone.
I'm glad you feel better, WS.
EVERYONE GETS A GOOD DAY TODAY. Do you hear me, Universe? Make it happen.

I just got my contract for 2017, and they agreed to my rate increase! I was pretty much set for them to say no, because they are apparently known for being cheap as hell with their freelancers, but damn if they didn't cough it up.
ABOUT TIME, 2016. (Though it doesn't take effect until 2017. Still. I gotta put stuff in the Win column whenever I can for this ridonkulous year.)

I am pro this.

Awesome.
I went for a walk along the waterfront at lunch and there was a guy with a hawk. I mentioned it to a friend and she said he's there on weekdays to scare the seagulls. I think Oz could do a job like that. He needs a job.

Yay! Okay, Universe, keep the good things coming.
Congrats, Steph! That is awesome!
