Shh! I kinda wanna hear me talking right now!

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I am going to be so glad when this semester is over. My schedule has me teaching four classes one semester and three the other semester, and this is my four class semester, plus a million things that are making it more difficult and time-consuming than usual. Thus, my bullet journal organization to try to cut down to just working one weekend day, rather than two, which I actually achieved this weekend (yay!) and I got together with Steph and Tim for brunch, which was fun. Then worked, then met up with some work friends for a knitting night which (as usual) become a complain-about-work night.

Always Anti-fascist!

Had first extended Kardashian exposure.(Remote thing: argh) Have not have my incest button pinged so hard since my stepbrother and stepsister used to share a chair as teenagers(!) Seriously...it's your brother, and you sign a note that says "I love you endlessly,"(Um, not on my planet) My brother and I have made up our sibling drama and I've loaned him some cash, but he'd be looking for my stroke if I wrote "Love you endlessly," Besides, what's their deal? I messed with that remote for forty minutes, punching buttons, turning off an on and otherwise padding a limited skillset and they were sitting in the same fricking *chairs*.

Thrive to spite them

I officially got through job. Now I have to remember to tell the manager I prefer to go by Skye. I thought I had at the interview but I told one set and not the other.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay! When do you start, Skye?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Congrats, Skye!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Skye! Good for you!

I'm not sure when I start. I think in 2 weeks. That's what was indicated at the interview but I'miss going to ask more tomorrow. Also about dress code I may need different shoes.

Compassionately intolerant

The legal thing is decidedly not resolved...though I am pretty proud of myself for how I am dealing with it.

I doubt the party of the first part could find me here, but just for added security, I changed my Board name.

After the fact, I apologize for the similarity to our dear friend from Oz. No one would confuse us, I'm sure. Still.

Hopefully, it will only be temporary.

Hey, in totally other news...I'm not sure if I mentioned it here, but I've been dealing with a really painful case of 'trigger thumb' for the last 6 months. For the first 3, I thought it was arthritis. When I figured it out, I began wearing a brace that sort of helped.

At least, I stopped rolling over on it at night and freaking myself out when it got stuck from bumping the thumb in any way.

Flash forward to about two weeks ago, when I started taking a heaping teaspoon of turmeric with a little ground pepper in water every morning.

I wish I had before and after photos for you, but it is like a miracle. It's not 100% fixed, but boy howdy, I'm pleased. I've stopped wearing the brace during the day at all AND my rotator cuff injury hurts less as well.

I'm not advocating for woowoo, but a friend who is totally NOT in that camp told me that it helped her arthritic joints dramatically, so I figured it was worth a try.

I'm so grateful for the tip...and for the lack of constant pain.
