Aims, I am so sorry. I have complete empathy; we've been through house hell (eviction very real) and it's awful. Broke, too, and it's SO STRESSFUL. It just sucks. I feel so bad for you guys. And on your anniversary? Honey, that...I don't even. So not fair.

omnis, I am glad that things went as well as they could. Someone sent me such a vague message about a family member, I would freak and go all phone-crazy.
The only thing that leads me against camping in the backyard is that we are in the midst of skunk migration season and just over the past week or so, I've had at least 4 baby skunks in our yard which leads us to believe momma is near. As we went down that road with the dogs last fall, I am not keen on repeating that horror. Maybe there is a campground closer that won't take a million dollars in gas to get to and has some cool touristy things nearby.
And thank you all for the support and ~ma and just all of your awesomeness. I can't talk a lot about it on FB because it involves one of my best friends and I've been feeling quite lonely.

I was the end of the phone tree. And yes, I was on the throne when he called. Timing. Gotta love it. HAD to take the call. Then my sister texted while on the phone with him asking if I had talked with him yet (she was getting tired, and wanted me to call to talk about it)

There is a state park just about 2 hours from us, on the shores of Lake Michigan. Sand dunes, etc. Maybe a day trip or a two-nighter, which will save considerable money. Food is already taken care of. We could also day-trip it. We'll decide tomorrow. The cost of our trip as currently planned is only about 10% of what we even need to think about moving and I am thinking about it tomorrow.

this sounds horrible.
It pretty much sucks. Last night I slept an insane 12 hours. Tonight I tried to sleep for 2 hours and was only succeeding in keeping TCG awake, so I gave up. My pain has been awful lately, which probably has a lot to do with not sleeping. I have 2 family gatherings this weekend and am quite the bitca when I'm overtired. It should be an interesting weekend.
