Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hah. That reminds me of when people enter abnormal lab values as adverse events in my studies. And instead of like, specifying that it's hypercholesterolemia or whatever, they just put "cholesterol" or "white blood cells" and I have to say "so, 'white blood cells' by themselves are not actually a PROBLEM?"

Our wings are not tired

There's a section where you have to enter the names of all your immediate family members, and then check off whether any of them have a history of various things. One of the things on the list is "Adoption."

As someone who is adopted I actually appreciate it when this is listed as an option. I have to deal with far too many forms that ask all sorts of family medical history questions with no option to explain that I have no way of knowing, so I just end up drawing a big X through all of it and writing adopted across the whole thing.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm chilling and waiting for my second therapist appointment. I think today we talk about Tim, because I spent the entire first appointment talking about my family of drunks (which is a bit telling, no?).

Then at noon I get 2 fillings for my teeth of chalk. Then I will nap the nap of one who has righteously adulted.

Also, my level 2 improv class starts tonight, so that's a good.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Have an excellent day, Teppy! Parts of it may well be the opposite of fun, but may they have the effect of increasing your health.

You have suffered through much adulting, you deserve a break.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I hear you, Teppy. I hope that on balance you finish the day feeling productive and fulfilled.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

um ... in regard to the light-weight kitty litter, I've heard some bad things about some of it - that it causes problems for the kitties. Don't know if it's for real, since I read it on the internet, but you might want to check it out.

hip deep in pie

Toddson, Snopes looked into those claims and found them unproved, though they didn't say they were false. [link]

I bought some of the lightweight stuff for my cat and the problem with it was that it was so strongly perfumed that neither me or Oz could stand it. (There was a lot of peeing on the floor that weekend ETA: by the cat.) Even after dumping 70% of what was in the pan and replacing that with unscented litter, the smell to about a month of daily cleaning to completely disappear.
