"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

askye, continued ~ma to your grandmother.

ltc is in her little play yard "reading" her books out loud to herself and talking up a storm to her toys. I have no idea what she's saying, but it's adorable.

My nephew has to decided to run away to the beach....Google maps says it's a 6 day walk. So he packed some stuff and I'm helping him make a list and tomorrow or Thursday depending on how busy we are hes going to get his stuff together and he and I will walk to the main road and back....there are hills both ways to see how he can handle it.

Also I took him to the library and he got all these books which once we got home he didn't want to read.

But before we left I had him jump up and down and yell really loud and run around the car flailing his arms and screaming so he could be quiet at the library. Then after the library I could see he was antsy so he hoped on the sidewalk and skipped to the car and did jumpjacks. At my suggestion. That also worked.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm having a stupidly stressful day. Classes start next week, and there are a million things I have to do, and my doctor refused to refill my painkillers, and I had to sit through a five hour meeting, one hour of which was 50 people, at least a third of whom don't speak English as their first language, trying to edit a single sentence. Dill pickle flavor potato chips are helping a little. (I'll make some phone calls tomorrow about the prescription. It was too late to do that today by the time my meeting was over.)

I got a rejection email.

I'm not really surprised I didn't do well enough on the interview and the hours I wanted were really limited.

I'm getting kind of worried about getting my painkiller prescription. I've been getting the prescription from my regular doctor, while I'm trying to get an appointment with a rheumatologist. I was running out, and I contacted my regular doctor for a refill, and said that I've sent my records to the rheumatologist, and that the rheumatologist's office said that they'd call me back sometime this week to set up an appointment, but that I need a refill until then. She rejected the request, and the office called and left a message for me saying that they couldn't fill prescriptions for chronic pain, and that I need to see a specialist for that. Um, that's what I'm trying to do. So, my new plan is to call the rheumatologist again tomorrow, get an appointment, and then call the regular doctor back with that information, and see if she'll write me a prescription. If not, then I don't know what my next step will be.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sorry, Askye.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh Hil, that's really rough.

Hil I hope this can get worked out ....it's horrible being sort of held hostage by doctor's offices and policies and people you can't really communicate with.
