[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I hope today is a better day, Hil.

sj, may the medication changes help you feel better soon.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Man, I feel guilty when I'm SO READY to go home at the end of vacation. I love Tim's family, but 15 adults and 4 very loud children in one duplex for a week is A LOT OF PEOPLE. I work alone at home, no kids, just Tim at the end of the day. That's a serious jump from 2 people to 19.

And I miss my dog. Also, "leftover night" (which is a good idea to empty the fridge, don't get me wrong) is not tenable for someone who can't eat pizza/pasta/sandwiches. For some reason Tim is taken aback that I won't just smile and eat ONLY baby carrots for dinner. Hell no, son. I have a car and money and the wherewithal to obtain sushi, so you just enjoy your 3-day-old pizza.

Seriously, it's been super nice all week, so I have no real complaints; I'm just bumping up against the limits of Too Much Togetherness.

I'm expecting to be where you are this time two weeks from now after spending week in Maine with friends and their kids.

Good for you, Teppy!

It's been a long day and so hot. We're still at the sympathy dinner. I want to hide.

Too long a day, sj.

Home now. Luckily we had to get Mom back to our house so she could get home. So, we had an excuse to leave. The funeral, cemetery, and mercy dinner were nowhere near each other. So by the time we got to the mercy dinner ltc was cranky and hungry and do was momma. I should have brought snacks and cold drinks. We have another big family dinner tomorrow night, but at least I'm home for a night with a cuppa and hopefully a nap in my future.

Apparently I bought a "few" things on prime day when I was more than a little depressed. At least I had birthday money to spend, I guess.

Always Anti-fascist!

Tep, I think that's normal. Not that I've been anywhere for two weeks except summer camp. Which I got over with fast because I hate people nagging me to join in with stuff constantly.

Thrive to spite them

I survived another swim meet. It was so hot and there were only 2 swim clubs, my nephews and the other but they were lots of kids.

Listened to some Hamilton and gritted my teeth through it.

Next week is the big end of the season meet which , from what I understand, is huge and long and I've already decided I'm not going.

Out to dinner with family. Drinking my gin & tonic. Not talking politics.
