Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots. Shut up!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I don't have kids, so I don't really have any grounds to say this, but: unless you're raising F. to be a tiny assassin,* no one gets a say in how you're choosing to raise her. I know it's easy for me to say that, since I've never had judgmental family and friends -- or strangers -- question my every choice. But still, if it helps, it's none of their business and they need to back off.

*And, um, if you *are* raising her to be a tiny assassin, remember that I am 100% loyal to you alone.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Different inlaws. TCG's parents are divorced. These are the ones that don't hate me. Still, the come by every week to see ltc which is great except when I feel judged and criticized.

Noted, Teppy. She's is awfully sneaky. She grabbed my library things again when Mom had her yesterday and was very unhappy when I took back my Teen Wolf DVD.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I'm down with ltc being a tiny assassin (though, of course, I'm also 100% loyal to you), just so long as she's kind to animals.

My understanding was that it's less traumatic for you and her if she self-weans (assuming it doesn't take until Kindergarten), though IANA parent, so grain of salt, of course.

And I also feel that in-laws who make you feel judged instead of congratulated for bringing such an obviously superior human into this world can just go talk a long walk off a short pier.

Uh-oh. Maybe I should declare my loyalty to her and not you.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Declare loyalty to ltc and love for her mother for bringing such a wonderful - and deadly - being into existence.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Deadly CUTE. I have seen pictures.

Always Anti-fascist!

If she's an assassin, I may need a card. I have a list.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

sj, the only people you need to listen to w/r/t ltc's upbringing is you, TCG, and ltc. Everyone else can take a flying leap. Is she happy? Is she well-fed? (Of course!) Then your in-laws can go be judgey somewhere else.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm feeling really judged lately for not having weaned ltc and therefore not leaving her for more than a couple of hours at a time.

My MIL was anxious to have the boys for overnight visits but tolerated my decision to nurse them until they self-weaned. She got over it. #1 for 2 years and #2 for about 18 months or so. Also, totally what juliana said.

ps - let ltc I am totally loyal.
